To a catholic from a evangelico christian!?

Question

I have watch the catholic mass on EWTN and have attended some. I don't see anything there spirturaly! Everybodys just lookin around. Is this the way it is?

Thank you for taking an interest in your Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ.

As in all Churches there are members of the congregation at every level of spiritual maturity.

Some people may be so deeply into the service that they seem entranced while others, who are going through a rough patch or who stayed up with a sick child all night, may even fall asleep.

Do not judge them too harshly. Spirituality cannot really be seen, it must be experienced.

Catholic Mass like the rest of Christianity is not a spectator sport, it must be lived.

well, you see, there are catholics... and then there are Catholics. As in all churches you will find members who are there to "check a box off." Go to church = good on ya for those people. Good catholics, however, go to recieve the sacraments of Christ and to hear His word. As such, if you study long enough to understand the parts of the mass and the symbolism behind every action, you can recognize amongst catholics those who are devout and know their faith through and through. I'm sure you have the same situation in your evangelico church, though it may not seem as pronounced to you since you know and understand your worship service better than you know and understand the mass.

They're lookin' around and just waitin' to see Jesus appear on the altar, so they can give perfect worship and sacrifice to God.

Jesus is the one who ultimately presides at every Catholic Mass.

some ppl worship GOD differently than others, Plus it's kind of hard to SEE Spirituality, isn't it ??

children believe in Santa Claus, and they pray for gifts.. and the adults believe in god , and they pray for reward.
