I grew up methodist and my husband catholic. We were married in the catholic church. We have two children and our oldest was baptized catholic and our youngest baptized methodist. We want to send them both to CCD and have them make their communion and confirmation in the catholic church. Someone told me they wont let my youngest since he was baptized methodist..is this true?

It clearly states in Genesis 1-26 'Let's make man in our image'.
"Also 'our image', does that not sound plural?"

Then later on in Genesis 2-7 he is created again? 'And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground' Makes you wonder does't it...

Different passages with both single and plural deity, and different timelines, sounds like a pantheon to me!

I get attacked in my sleep while i'm conscious of whats happening but my strength is drained and I cant move or wake up... and the weirdest thing is when I wake up I still can feel sore spots in my body where I was been hit. sometimes I can hear the voice of the attacker and it seems like a female voice but its pitched up and tis a multiple voices in one! I want to share this experience with you people because I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only person having this.. its really hard to talk about it or explain it.. but I think I did a pretty good job describing it.. thank you for help if you do!

to begin, i am a straight devout christian. please, only respectful, thoughtful answers. respect the community.

many homophobes are religious, true. they claim that G-d and jesus were and are against homosexuality. the reality is, jesus never said anything about it. if you look at His quoted words, he ?never said a thing about them. he preached to love thy neighbor, accept the "lepers", and to be caring and forgiving.

G-d created Adam and Eve, correct? he also created the tree of evil and knowledge. he created the snake who temped eve. so, when adam and eve ate the apple they had to create a home and have children, so one can conclude that g-d created every human. one can also conclude that every human derived from sin. thus, everyhuman is a sinner. G-d also forgave us and told us to forgive others.

so, my question to you is, how can people call homosexuality a sin when they are sinners as well? "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" jesus said. who is justified to thro

I am going to baptise my neice tomorrow and need help with a letter i am supposed to read . one of the questions is that I need to give concrete examples of how they will encourage their godchilds faith. Ok, i think i accidently prayed in my thoughts of God taking me to hell. The Lord knows I don't ever want to go there and I would never really pray about that. I need assurance that everything is ok. Please don't answer my question if you don't believe in the Bible. Thank you.

Please note that I am not a follower of the Bible, but I would still like this issue clarified. Also note that I am not a pervert by asking these questions, I just want to know.


1) Where in the Bible does it condemn pornography?
2) Where in the Bible does it condemn masturbation?
3) Where in the Bible does it condemn tolerance of other faiths?
4) Where in the Bible does it condemn homosexuality?
5) Where in the Bible does it condemn evolution?

For 3,4, and 5: Please state why you think these verses are literal and not metaphorical/mistranslated.

What do you make of these two passages regarding the "curse on the land?

(Genesis 3:17-19) And to Adam he said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, 'You shall not eat of it,' cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return."

the question:

why do people put main tennets of their faith into a question we must "google" in a lame attempt for others to do self discovery and possibly convert them?

what religion besides buddhism mandates you don't evangelize?

I think it's Judaism, surprisingly, converts are to come on their own when they are ready
