I recently saw a question that used the phrase, “carrying our sins in the cross.” My question is how does that phrase relate to sinful thoughts and actions of the human mind? Does it mean that because we are sinners, we keep sinning, wait for death to overtake us, and then go to heaven because he carried our sins in the cross? If this be so, then what, there is no hell (punishment for sin)?

Ok, a few years ago during my first year at OSU, I made a bad choice and went through with it. It was a bad choice that I made that was behind my friends back who I've known since we were very young. Anyways, a few years later he finds some stuff out and brings it up, and now we are no longer friends because of it. I'll admit, it was a dumb choice, but back then I was stupid and selfish and didn't really think my choice through. Anyways, I've apologized many times throughout the past few years, but he wants nothing to do with me anymore and has moved on without me. I feel bad and wish I wouldn't of made such a dumb choice, but I understand consequences more seriously now.

Is that an example of karma? I sure hope so, I've been through enough as it is. If this is karma, well I guess I know the definition and think before I do something stupid again.

Some people tend to think this is sinful. I don't, however.

But what are your thoughts?

...I am kind of puzzled about this - where in the Bible does it say that man has a free will? I submit the fall affected our wills, also.
In Ephesians 2, we are told that we are "dead in trespasses and sins"; spiritual corpses, if you will, and helpless.
...In Romans 3, it says: "There is none righteous, no not one; there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God."
...The Old Testament says that "every imagination of mankind was only evil continually."
....We are like Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from the dead; he was dead and had to be called and rescued by Jesus.
...Please give your views along with definite chapter/verse in Scripture.

Yes, Rasputin (AKA "The mad monk") of all people.

On one particular time when he stopped the Czar's son's hemophealiac bleeding when the Doctor's could not, they assumed it was because he did have the ability through hypnosis to lower the boys blood pressure.

The Czar's top Doctor asked him how he does it.

"My healing comes from the soul" he said.

The Doctor replied that he had done over a thousand autopsy's and never found a soul.

Rasputin asked, "How many dreams and memories did you find?"

Is that a damn good alalogy or what ?

I was talking to one of my friends about enlightenment and how i'd like to reach it and they told me that it wasn't a good idea. She said it's a total state of nothingness, which sounds a lot like death to me and if i were to reach it...um....how would i get out of that state of mind?

Does it sound like Paul thinks he fell away from the faith because of fear of persecution?

(2 Timothy 1:15-18)
You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes. May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains, but when he arrived in Rome he searched for me earnestly and found me-- may the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that Day!--and you well know all the service he rendered at Ephesus.

This past week (Tuesday to be exact), I went to a funeral for my grandma's second husband. As I was listening to the eulogy (i think thats what it's called) it got me wondering.. what do they say in an Atheists or somebody who has no religious belief's eulogy ? I was also wondering because I'm leaning on the side of no religion/atheists (no hate please)

charity is one of the pillars of islam, but what's ur view about giving money to street beggars....at some places they are sent on streets to get money which later collected n given to higher authority,it's more like a business now..in such cases what should be done, should we give money when islam never prmoted begging..but promoted helping others.

while hazrat Ali(Allah be pleased with him) leading principle of life was to never scold a beggar and to give him whatever he could...

on one side it's intentions...help some one
on other side it's act ....begging

Does that mean they no longer matter to us, or is it just the technicality of the holy relationship is no longer necessary and is therefor non-existant, as you're with God? Do they just become like anybody else?

if I was out in the middle of the desert, looking around would appear to be a circle, or my little universe everywhere I went

what does the greek/latin/hebrew/aramaic/kemetic texts say? isn't a circle NOT a sphere? rather flat and linear, yes? even in Isaiah 40 it's spoken in shepherd and flock terms

Heavens is "shamayim" in Hebrew, meaning lofty place, or where G-d lives, or the dimension between land and above as if there is a real curtain or tent above us and end to it's height

here is a modern person stuck in denial and nomadic thoughts

"Nobody knows anything about the true shape of the world," he contends. "The known, inhabited world is flat. Just as a guess, I'd say that the dome of heaven is about 4,000 miles away, and the stars are about as far as San Francisco is from Boston."
