Religion is powerful because it portrays the results of our living. It is powerful because it can change the pattern of our lives. It is based mostly on supernaturals and spritual views.Humans are dependent on some religions because of the faith they have in the religion. Humans are so adhered to certain religions because they get the view that the way we live will determine reward or punishment. Also through religion socialization is present and information is shared. Through religion we have encouragement from fellow believers and share one view, our problems are shared and our needs are sometimes provided. Through religion there is a reason to live doing good.

Because God is a powerful force. When he is in your life he is a powerful force in your life. He gives us love and comfort that is beyond human feelings. He instructs and guides us. He is a constant and faithful companion no matter what hardship or obstacle we face. He shares all our joys and our sorrows. We can know with complete certainty that we will never have to face any trial alone.

it's about what we want to be, what could be if true, not what is

the world gets wars and intollerance thanks to most of the religions being unnaccepting of free will and choice and tales of the afterlife to the faithful and uneducated

spirituality on the other hand is less about what to believe and more about what to actually DO and have peace of mind, love each other and be part of this life, earth, and existence, honoring all

Because God created us with a "God-shaped vacuum" in our souls.

We will either find the Christian God, or replace him with an idol of some kind in our life. This is true for Atheists as well.

I wish I remember who said it (Marx?) but Religion is the opiate of the masses. In other words, if you are poor, that's all you have to give you hope.
