When God presents the New Earth to his children, will we have the opportunity to do things we've always wanted to do, such as learn different musical instruments, travel freely to other countries to view architecture and art, and mllions of others things that are now only accessible to those who can afford them? It would great to see what I'll look like when my body is restored to perfection? Most of all I look forward to glorifying God in all aspects, and possibly creating songs and dances of praise for him. Afterall, we'll have eternity. I love the fact that he says we'll never get bored.

Romans 4

18Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be."[d] 19Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb was also dead. 20Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

The Christian Scriptures contain many references to both Judea and Samaria. But most of the Christian world now calls Judea and Samaria "the West Bank."

Doesn't it only make sense to change these references in the Christian Bible to say "the West Bank".

Example: the story of the "Good Samaritan" should be changed to the "Good West Banker"

How come it is ok for non Christians to use abusive language, insults to a persons faith, and sometimes out right threats but then turn around and critize Christians for asking questions that may challange their lifestyles?
Isn't that just a bit Hypocritical as well. Sort of the pot calling the kettle black, right?

fellow Christians, please help me understand the meaning of this.
The bible makes several references to God hardening the heart of people (ex. the pharoh) and blinding the faith of people (Corin 4).

Why does he do this? If we have the right to choose Him why does He make it so some peoples hearts are hardened from Him? This would mean its not our fault for not believing?? help!

My 4 year old daughter tells me things that she claims God tells her and they come true. For example, she told me that I was going to have a boy because God told her I was. 6 weeks ago I just had a son and we didn't know until he was born. She also said that God told her the baby was going to be born on a thursday. That morning (not knowing what day it was) she said that the baby was coming that night because God told her so. What do you think of this and where should I go with it? Things like this happen all of the time.

There is no logic behind the "son of god" dying for mankind. Why wouldn't god threaten to kill himself instead? That would at least make sense.

Do you agree that religion was invented because humans just cannot face the possibility that there is nothingness after we die? To me, religion is like a little fairytale that your parents tell you before you go to sleep when you are a child. (because we all know how difficult it is to explain death to a child). I can imagine, that for the longest time, it was ONLY believed by children because it kept them in line. And maybe, politicians and leaders grasped this concept of control and decided to make it into a religion in order to keep their people in line.
Do you think this might have been what happened?
