There are many scriptures (luke 12:35-40, Matthew 24:36-41,42-44
,45-51, etc...) so how can I individually. and what are we as a church supposed to do to be ready for his return. we know from scripture it does not mean hiding in together in a little house. but what does it mean? especially when it comes to Unity. How can all the christians of the world say that we are one? That is his expectation.

that most the people on here are not interested in sharing information? Just being rude? They don't really ask questions wanting someones opinion...just ask it to get under someones skin? We all need to lighten up and quit being so hateful to one another! I'm sure some will disagree...

A friend of mine told me yesterday that his perfect world would be one without religion. I can understand where he is coming from, but a world without religion just seems...terrible. Religion has delivered a purpose to mankind. It has provided a friend, as well as a common enemy. It gave us organization, order, and further more broght us the idea of democracy. But me being one who worships a God I feal my opinon may be onesided. So with that said what do you think this world would be like without religion of any kind.

If they do anything that they don't agree with, or falter in any way.

It just seems all to convenient that anytime someone points out that a Xian's behavior was inappropriate in some way, several other Xians will comment that the person is not a "True Christian".

How do any of them have the right to judge a person's relationship with his or her God?

According to Jewish mythology, Lillith was the first wife, but did not want to be submissive to Adam.

"The angles who are in charge of medicine: Snvi, Snsvi, and Smnglof. After God created Adam, who was alone, He said, 'It is not good for man to be alone' (Gen. 2:18). He then created a woman for Adam, from the earth, as He had created Adam himself, and called her Lilith. Adam and Lilith began to fight. She said, 'I will not lie below,' and he said, 'I will not lie beneath you, but only on top. For you are fit only to be in the bottom position, while am to be in the superior one.' Lilith responded, 'We are equal to each other inasmuch as we were both created from the earth.' But they would not listen to one another. When Lilith saw this, she pronounced the Ineffable Name and flew away into the air."

I read a sign once that said "God is dead. Nietzsche." But someone wrote underneath the sign wrote. "Neitzsche is dead. God"

How true is that? Sobering isn't it.

If you see nothing wrong with non-believers roasting in Hell, shouldn't you have the honesty to say "I approve of this, I claim God's action as if it were my own"? Instead of pretending you're somehow not going along with it, backing Him up on it? The Germans who supported Hitler during WWII were a party to his crimes, even if they didn't personally built the gas chambers or load the Jews and other minorities inside... THEY WERE GUILTY, and YOU are guilty if you say of His deeds, "This is right"...

The question is why is he allow to forgive all the Evil that man does to each other whether or not he exists? And don't tell me Hell is their punishment. Anyone the most savage brutal child rapist and murderer is instantly forgiven by the simple act of accepting Christ in their eleventh hour. Then they are given a needle prick and calmy sleep.

This claim was stated as a response to I Walk Funny's question. I have studied the constitution and no where have I even seen something to support this claim. It states religious freedom, yes, but specificly Christiany, I think not. Please people don't start rumors about the founding fathers intent. It makes you look really bad. Could you please get the facts correct so as not to create rumors that may embarass you?

I look at the creation and know that there is a Creator. I don't think that one day, after the dino's died off, a little mammal popped up out of nowhere. What would've evolved first, the blood, or the vessels. Did 2 of them just pop up at the same location in the whole world? Of the opposite sex?!?! How did they know to have sex? Was it out of desire? The will to survive? How did they figure it out? Was it love? How did love "evolve"?
... Should I ask all these questions seperately?

I have learned this. No matter what we do in life there will be those people on either end of the spectrum, some will have good hearts and an open mind and others will be full of fear and hatred. I have learned that just when I think I can predict the response of someone they surprise me and most importantly I have had the knowledge reinforced that you just can't take anything personaly.
I hope you all (even you on the far end of the spectrum) have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

I have repeatedly read Christians say that homosexuality is unnatural.

Well, homosexuality is the only natural sexuality for me. Attempts in my youth to try heterosexuality were entirely hideous. It felt like forcing myself to eat maggots.

After coming out, I spent almost 12 years with the man of my dreams until he died of cancer. We were monogamous, HIV negative, and deeply in love in a way that to us felt entirely natural.

How can you possibly know what is natural for everyone? Why would you have gay men like me reject the only capacity for intimate love that we have?
