Other ways, Reverend? Only one way that I know of. Ask yourself "Who am I?" Do not ask anyone else. All else is a variation of this question. One can start out asking some other question, but eventually the question does become this one. The question has a history older than spoken or recorded history and the result is always the same. Eventually, to genuine askers, the answer becomes so obvious that he/she will never need a pastor again. The very idea or concept of a "pastor" will come to seem like a hoax played out on him/herself. There are no answers of any usefulness found anywhere else outside asking oneself. With this answer the question of "proof" is moot. Other's claims based on belief or even their personal faith cannot be falsified - and who would want to - as they are also personal and in response to their own search. You may think you have a better answer, but you only have your answer. Leave others strictly alone, and if you really asked that question seriously, you will naturally want to leave others alone - unless they ask as you have done here. You will understand both the meanness and the futility of any religious agenda. You will be flattened by the authentic sense of compasion. Talk about it? Don/t bother because words are only concepts based on yet other concepts. God realization is not a concept. Words are only pointers at best. In reality, you have said nothing. If you really are a Reverend, then your best help for your flock would be to answer their questions with a steady loving gaze and complete silence. That should do until you and they get the hang of it. Good Luck. Check that you are still breathing...you have just found god if you are.

That right nobody but the Lord knows what is truley in a mans heart. But lets not pick and choose parts of the bible to our likeing. Because God also said when you see a Christian in error correct him, so he is not lead to certain death. Also Jesus said we can judge a true Christian by their actions. And being born again we are to be Christ like. And Christ said He did not come to make peace but create peace. Then their is the little fact of spreading the accurate truth, you tell the word of God to peoplethey can deny this truth or accept this truth. We all must examine ourselves first so God does not examine us. You cannot take one part of the bible and make a justifiable argument with it. Jesus had NO problem telling the religious leaders they were hypocrites.

This is something that is inherent all "faith based" religions, especially the religions of the Occident (Judaism, Christianity and Islam), where one group decries the other group to be non-believers, blasphemers or what have you. No one has the right to judge another's personal relationship with God, and if people of these religions actually followed what was written about what their respective prophets said (Peace be upon them), then this world would be a great place to live.
Sadly, history is rife with examples of people killing in the name of these prophets, and look around you today and see what is going on!!!

Take Constantine, the Roman Emperor as a great example of a professing Christian, they credit him with delivering Christians from the misery of Roman persecution and giving them religious freedom. Moreover, it is widely held that he was a faithful footstep follower of Jesus Christ with a strong desire to advance the Christian cause.
Seeking religious harmony for political reasons, Constantine quickly crushed any dissenting voices, not on the grounds of doctrinal truth, but on the basis of majority acceptance.
Historian Paul Johnson notes: “Constantine never abandoned sun-worship and kept the sun on his coins.” The Catholic Encyclopedia observes: “Constantine showed equal favour to both religions. As pontifex maximus he watched over the heathen worship and protected its rights.” “Constantine never became a Christian,” states the encyclopedia Hidria, adding: “Eusebius of Caesarea, who wrote his biography, says that he became a Christian in the last moments of his life. This doesn’t hold water, as the day before, [Constantine] had made a sacrifice to Zeus because he also had the title Pontifex Maximus.”
Professing Christians are like Constantine, they belong to a church that recognizes Jesus but does not follow his teaching, instead follow the tradition of man, worse, participates in Pagan worship. Sadly, they are not aware.
True Christians follow Jesus' examples and teachings and hold the Bible as the only sole authority of God's commandments and not traditions of men.

1Co 5:12 After all, it is none of my business to judge outsiders. God will judge them. But should you not judge the members of your own fellowship? As the scripture says, "Remove the evil person from your group."

Anybody can judge but no garantee their judgement will be correct.
Bible warns about judging others rather than focusing inward but also asks christians to confront other christians involved doing things that are not appropriate. Forgot verse.

I am a true Christian and I know sometimes a nerve is struck and I react. We don't have a right to judge and that is true, but if I use scripture then it is not I that judges but the Word of God.

Well sister - if you see a cow bark then you do not have a true cow. It is just like people who claim to be Christians - they want to be saved but not do God's will - God will judge in the end - not us humans.

Because there is a big difference between professing christians and true christians, between Christendom and Christianity.
the thing is most people do not really know which true christianity is and believes that they do belong to it.
Please differentiate them first. =)

When( and please lets specify/evangelical, mega fake church, cult like -born again) Christians judge they are really trying to justify their own life's choices and actions. They are saying more about themselves and their insecurities than they are saying about others. They are deflecting criticism from themselves. Trust me ignore them "cause you can not talk over them so that they can hear &consider your point of view.
