You don't know what he expects.
You might guess what he wants. But there is no way you can know what he expects.
Stifle your opinion. Save your opinion for questions that ask for your opinion.

We don't know exactly what it means. The Holy Spirit didn't enlighten the people who wrote the King James version of the Bible to the fact that future generations will need more than vague statements. Christianity claims that they have the correct interpretation but , you will get so many different answers. I once had a pastor give me a 5 min explanation of where somewhere in the bible it claims that Jesus said, "I am". Since then, if something in scripture isn't precise and self explanatory, I ignore it. You might as draw your own conclusions as to what it means. Your answer will be just as good as any other that you are going to hear.

ask yourself this, are you okay with today if tomorrow is the end? you know as well as i know there are not as many Christians as there claim to be,the last days will reveal it...to be ready is to accept not all will last on this earth that one day the TRUE King shall call His children home and reign in His Holy Kingdom, to take every chance you have to snatch a soul from hellfire(but u can't save some, satan has deceived many, people have hardened their hearts) it's amazing what a kind word will do...why not be a heroe? you may be the only one they see Jesus in...try to demonstrate His love..you do not stand alone...in the last days persecution will be great even for Americans(the nation Under God, believe it or not)the most you can do is find where you stand, endure, you will find it worth it when Heaven's gates swing wide...STAND STRONG< THE KING COMETH

To live your life as if he could return at any moment. Sort of like when your parents went away, if they returned and you were having a party when you were not suppose to then you were in trouble. Same concept. Be ready, live your life the best way you can and be always prepared.

Make sure that you have dedicated your life to "puting on the new personality" We would want to make sure that we are in an approved state so that when we are judged according to our conduct, we will be judged favorably, by God only. Jesus will begin ruling on earth after it has been cleansed of the wickedness-violence, wars, diseases....We are each responsible for our own actions, not so much others, so if you search for the true religion, you will find it in order that you can live according to the way approved by God and taught by Jesus while he was on earth.

I believe there in only one true church on this earth today. The Holy Spirit testifies of truth, all truth. So, I would seek out the truth, in my heart, if I were you.
Specifically, we can ask God, and the Savior, what we can do to prepare through prayer. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5)."
As Christians, we are to prepare for Jesus' return by following the commandments and enduring, faithfully, to the end--never ceasing. We can do this by developing a personal relationship with God and our Savior. The more we know of them and get to know them personally, the more we are able to be more like Christ. To be Christian is to actively try to be Christ-like. We are preparing for our judgment according to the way we lived in mortality. Luckily, Jesus knows our heart and our intentions, we can more fully appreciate his connection to us by actively seeking a connection to Him.
We can achieve unity only by serving our fellow man, woman and child. The Lord's work is done with human hands. Part of His expectation for us is to humble ourselves and yield to His will, not our own. By allowing Him to guide our actions, we serve the Lord, ourselves and each other.

Being ready means to always be the best person you can be. Always ethical, respectful, kind. Do as Jesus did and love rather than hate. This would make you ready to face God whenever the time comes.

whether he said this or it was just attributed to him by his overly zealous followers is debatable but don't hold your breath ,he has been dead too many years to expect his return. So what does ready mean ; unfortunately not a thing.Take some personal responsibility and find your own way.
peace out
