Life is a dear thing to all of us but if it came to making a decision to sacrifice your life so that the world could have a better chance at adapting into a lasting world peace, would you yield?

There are plenty of people who have given their lives already, some as soldiers, some as martyrs, some for good and some for bad. Assuming that your own sacrifice would be a "no-brainer" decision and a personal sacrifice which could yield good without a doubt, would you do it? Would you be willing to die for the sake of a more peaceful world?

If you answered "yes" to this question and you believe in life after death, do you realize that sacrificing the idea of your after-death life might help to achieve this same illusive goal of world-wide peace? Are you willing to donate that "life" to help achieve peace on eart

Once he entered his wife Hafsa’s room for some reason. Hafsa was not there but he found her lovely young maid Maria instead. He grabbed her and jumped into the bed with her for a quickie. But the quickie was not quick enough and Hafsa walked in and started yelling. To quieten her down and to please her he promised never to touch her maid again. However Allah did not approve of this sacrifice and revealed the following ayas:

Q66.1 SHAKIR: O Prophet! why do you forbid (yourself) that which Allah has made lawful for you (slave girl Maria); you seek to please your wife(Hafsa)

66.2 Allah has sanctioned for you to break your promise (go sleep with Hafsa’s maid)

What do you think about The Satanic Bible? What do you think about Traditional Satanism? How about Symbolic Demon Worship (I think I made up this name, I think you can figure out what it means)?

if you do then say it right now, say that the son of god is your lord and savior, say the Christs most holy Name, confess that he is Lord :)

He is the Only way to get to paradise and you all no it!

My brothers and sisters let your voices be heard, scream his name, so all the non-believers can hear our Gods Name!

They wear crosses and other religious garbage, they say "i'm a christian" after everyone useless sentence they say, and they use exclamations like "jesus" and "oh lord" when they talk. I know theres no god but i dont wear shirts saying that. Why is it that christians need to make it known to everyone that there dumb enough to be a christian?

I'm sort of with Nietzsche on this one. I can't quote exactly from Thus Spoke Zarathustra since I loaned out my copy, but basically he says, "Everyone who's so obsessed with the afterlife can go live it."

We're here, now. Does it really matter how we got here? Does it really matter what's next? We have no way of knowing.

If you start from an agnostic standpoint, from a perennial maybe, there's no really good reason to believe in anything. If you are biased towards Christianity you will believe, if you are biased towards atheism you won't.

I know one thing for certain: I am here, right now. I want to make the most of my time here. If there is an afterlife, I don't want to spend the rest of my afterlife wishing I'd done things now.

I look forward to reading the counterarguments.

Why is this offensive? My mother is a hardcore Christian and writes "X-mas" for her shopping list and other things. Does this mean she's going to Hell?

Mark 12: 28- 29

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus(PBUH) had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

"The most important one," answered Jesus (PBUH), "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Why did he not say three or two right there, why did he say one??? He had a chance no? he could have said the holy spirit, me and God?

If I was more religious, could I use the "Do as I say, not as I do" technique to get what I want?

Ie, I could kill people and say it was okay for me to do it, but not for my followers.

Is that ever okay?

I am very excitable and very hyper right now. I just found out I got a job transfer and I am so happy and on a "high" if you will (no I dont take illegal drugs) Yesterday I was so wound up I took my mediaction early and took a nap to calm me down.

What are ways you stay clam, peaceful and relaxed and how can I just "tone it down" a bit I was bouncing off the walls at my parents a little bit today.

My hearts desire is to serve the Lord and glorify God and live for him. I am just a little or should I say a lot jittery.

I am very excited about what the Lord is going to do but I dont want to overstate things and be over powering and overdo things.

Thank you for your answers and may the Lord richly bless you and prosper you in Jesus see Psalms 20:4

There have been a string of break-ins in my neighborhood (including my parents house), which prior to was unheard of when it came to things like this. Today, the burglars taped a note to the front door saying that they would be soon returning for everything else. Granted, we have taken all the necessary safety, security, and legal precautions. Yet, this is foreign to us. I am sooooo stressed. It is such a hassle to have to worry about the well-being of your loved ones minute for minute. I'm about to pray for peace of mind and safety. I ask that you pray for me and my family also please. I believe in the power of prayer. Pray for us. Thank you.

When does the spirit ascend to heaven after passing on. Does it lay in a sleep state until resurrection day or does it go to heaven or where ever immediately?
