Here on this site you'll probably only get a "Yes" or "No" answer. There is not room to lay out an effective argument for or against its authenticity. So, if you are willing to spend some time reading, I'll give you a couple of books that can help you decide for yourself.
Josh McDowell has 2 books out that lay a foundation for actual facts about the historical, archeological, and bibliographical evidence of the Bible. After reading them, you'll have enough information to make a reasonable and logical conclusion.
The first book is a short book and can be read in a couple of hours. It is called "More Than A Carpenter" and can be picked up at any major bookstore for about $6.00.
The second is a very large research book called "The New Evidence that Demands A Verdict". This book can be a bit expensive ($30-$40), so you might want to check the local library.
Don't accept a "Yes" or "No" without doing your research.

But from Moses 1110 years of bible books as we have 39, all done 443 years before Christ in O.T., it is amazing we get this in as good a condition as it is in. Then the 50 to 100 after Christ the N.T. books of 27. Theses 66 books are as much and more than any human can learn in a lifetime. The truth is here. Behavior as Noah, Enoch, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph as just men knowing they did not create themselves and all they did see and having respect for the one who did was what they did.
Once the theme of the bible is established [ and not a fragment of this, that and the other ], it is in harmony from Genesis to Revelations dealing with the impossible, so much so that king David wondered why God would bother, HE HAS PLANS TO SAVE THE OFFSPRINGS OF ADAM, NOT DESTROY THEM AND START OVER.

Almost pure myth. They included the names and places of real people, but most of the tales are just that: Tales.

it's not pure myth. it's a legend just like any other. starts with somthing small and over time becomes rediculously rediculous. most of it was translated wrong, some on purpose. Women weren't suppose to have any power in the church so they cut out alot of the female written gospels. it's a cult. the bible is the devil.

It contains many literary genres including myth, historiography, exhortation, erotic poetry, wisdom literature, etc. So no, it's not "pure myth."

It is as real as God, heaven is as real as hell, and the devil is as real as he was in the garden to have you ask such a thing. The bible is against man (it doesn't pat our flesh) but man is against it because flesh wants to be patted.
