Mark 12: 28- 29
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus(PBUH) had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
"The most important one," answered Jesus (PBUH), "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
Why did he not say three or two right there, why did he say one??? He had a chance no? he could have said the holy spirit, me and God?

This verse however is quoted out of context. The complete passage, starting with John 10:23, reads as follows:
“And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.”

Wow, you see, instead of answering the question all you get is nasty insults from Christians. Instead of answering the question or "showing Christ's love", so hateful.
I have wondered that question myself, but unfortuntely i do not have the answer but i wanted you to know there is another human being out there who is disgusted at the complete lack of respect and dignity and mistreatment that you are receiving.
You have a friend in me, hope you find the answers to all your questions.

John 4:24 God is Spirit and His worshipers must worship in His Spirit and in truth
John 8: 58 I tell you the truth, Jesus answered, before Abraham was born, I am ( And you must know from the Old Testament who is the great "I am" )
We serve only on God. When you read John 1:1 how clear is that:' In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with the God in the beginning.
Christ's humanity is as significant as His divinity. We hold that Christ's incarnation-His becoming like us,coming as a frail human- is key to His mission.
I see frequent criticism Muslims pose is that God is one, not three. This speaks of confusion about the Trinity. We believe that God is one like Deuteronomy 6:4 says. We do believe in the triune nature of God, and though Muslims may continue to object, we do have a biblical basis for this doctrine. ( Isaiah 63:8-10, Matthew 3:16-17, Matt 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14 )

YOU are smart enough to tell the Christ what he should have said? Not me. You'd need a doctorate in theology to even begin to debate this rationally....I sort of doubt you have that. The majority of theologians for the past 1500 years have agreed on the Trinity....are they all dumb? I think not, I think they have studied scripture, beginning from the earliest passed down recollections and writings.
If in your Bible it says A god, best to throw it away, it is a bad translation by ignorant and self serving people of a sect religion, not believable enough to even be on the fringes of Christianity.
But I'm sure you are amazingly brilliant in your own mind and feel you know it all with little or no theological education.
Study Athanius, Hilary, actually both Hilary's (and not Hillary Clinton), it might give you an idea of some of the thought that has gone into this.

I think you found the perfect scripture those of us who know God know who Jesus is. There are many reasons why spiritual things are not simply blurted out. They are proved throughout scripture but Christ did not come out and say it because he did not stand for himself but the father testified to who he is.It has always been with people of God that things are proved not by one but my 2 or more so Jesus did not testify simply of himself but the father testified also. Second Jesus was killed for blasphemy his time was not yet so he did not try to get himself killed before his time first Christ fulfilled prophesy of him and did the will of the father then when it was his time he died to atone for our sin. Christ answered those who asked with you said it is so or my father showed you this. Can you name one prophet that forgave sin or raised the dead. Who has power over life and death? Only the one who gives life. If you will read God's word without the bias of what man has taught you and allow God to reveal the truth to you he will.

The "Creed" of the "trinity" was an attempt by men to try to understand the God head as taught by Jesus Christ and his Prophets and Apostles past, present and future.
When we speak of "one" in the context of the God head, as I better understand it, we speak of a sports team acting as one or a husband and wife working as one, any group of people can work as one and not be one physical/ spiritual entity. All that does for me is conjure up grotesque images that are the pulp of sci-fi horror.
God the Father and His son Jeus Christ appeared to a young man in upstate New York in the spring of 1820 in answer to a prayer and a question; they appeared to him as two separate glorified men, in the form of men, possesing physical, glorified, immortal bodies - not as some "unknowable" or "unsearchable" spiritual entity. The young man's question was, 'which of all the churches (religions) were right? and which should I join?'
I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an bomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: "they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof."
This appearance completely destroyed those creeds of the trinity and many other man made creeds that christianity unfortunately desperately clings to.
Perhaps you say this is blasphemy but nevertheless it happened and great good has come of it.
By their fruits you shall know them.
Look at a religion and ask what the organization of that religion has done for its people.or if it has lead them to do good or evil to other people.
The doctrine of God is not to stir up the hearts of men to contend with anger one against another but love one another.
And this is life eternal that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus, whom thou hast sent.

The Lord our God is one is a statement of the trinity. Here's a little info for you. Only in the Old Testament is this true. When the spelling of Lord is like this it refers to God the Father. When the spelling of LORD is like this it refers to Christ. When the spelling of God is like this it refers to Christ and when the spelling of GOD is like this it refers to Father God. Knowing this will show you who is doing what in the Old Testament. You have to study the meaning of the words out to understand it.

What do you really care? You follow a lying, rapist, child molester, killer like Muhammad. Why would you want to know about our sinless and perfect Savior Jesus The Christ? I have never asked a question about Muhammad because I know he is a false prophet and dead in the ground where he belongs. You unfortunately are being misled.
God Bless you and Merry Christmas.

He came to Glorify the Father, he was about His Father's business not about himself. John the Baptist glorified Christ. He didn't need to say anything of himself his works showed it all.

The Didache
"After the foregoing instructions, baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in living [running] water. . . . If you have neither, pour water three times on the head, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" (Didache 7:1 [A.D. 70]).
Ignatius of Antioch
"[T]o the Church at Ephesus in Asia . . . chosen through true suffering by the will of the Father in Jesus Christ our God" (Letter to the Ephesians 1 [A.D. 110]).
"For our God, Jesus Christ, was conceived by Mary in accord with God’s plan: of the seed of David, it is true, but also of the Holy Spirit" (ibid., 18:2).
Justin Martyr
"We will prove that we worship him reasonably; for we have learned that he is the Son of the true God himself, that he holds a second place, and the Spirit of prophecy a third. For this they accuse us of madness, saying that we attribute to a crucified man a place second to the unchangeable and eternal God, the Creator of all things; but they are ignorant of the mystery which lies therein" (First Apology 13:5–6 [A.D. 151]).
Theophilus of Antioch
"It is the attribute of God, of the most high and almighty and of the living God, not only to be everywhere, but also to see and hear all; for he can in no way be contained in a place. . . . The three days before the luminaries were created are types of the Trinity: God, his Word, and his Wisdom" (To Autolycus 2:15 [A.D. 181]).
Irenaeus
"For the Church, although dispersed throughout the whole world even to the ends of the earth, has received from the apostles and from their disciples the faith in one God, the Father Almighty . . . and in one Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who became flesh for our salvation; and in the Holy Spirit" (Against Heresies 1:10:1 [A.D. 189]).
Tertullian
"We do indeed believe that there is only one God, but we believe that under this dispensation, or, as we say, oikonomia, there is also a Son of this one only God, his Word, who proceeded from him and through whom all things were made and without whom nothing was made. . . . We believe he was sent down by the Father, in accord with his own promise, the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete, the sanctifier of the faith of those who believe in the Father and the Son, and in the Holy Spirit. . . . This rule of faith has been present since the beginning of the gospel, before even the earlier heretics" (Against Praxeas 2 [A.D. 216]).
"And at the same time the mystery of the oikonomia is safeguarded, for the unity is distributed in a Trinity. Placed in order, the three are the Father, Son, and Spirit. They are three, however, not in condition, but in degree; not in being, but in form; not in power, but in kind; of one being, however, and one condition and one power, because he is one God of whom degrees and forms and kinds are taken into account in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" (ibid.).
"Keep always in mind the rule of faith which I profess and by which I bear witness that the Father and the Son and the Spirit are inseparable from each other, and then you will understand what is meant by it. Observe now that I say the Father is other [distinct], the Son is other, and the Spirit is other. This statement is wrongly understood by every uneducated or perversely disposed individual, as if it meant diversity and implied by that diversity a separation of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit" (ibid., 9).
"Thus the connection of the Father in the Son, and of the Son in the Paraclete, produces three coherent persons, who are yet distinct one from another. These three are, one essence, not one person, as it is said, ‘I and my Father are one’ [John 10:30], in respect of unity of being not singularity of number" (ibid., 25).
