my parents are mormon. i am not an entirely organized religion type of a person. for about the last three yrs i have had no loyalty to mormonism and have explored, studied, and gathered knowledge of other religions and phyloshophies in buhdism, wicca, hindu, ancient greek, roman, and egyptian, etc. i also have a boyfriend, which isnt aloud. so how do i break it to them that i dont want to live a lie of mormonism anymore?

It seems to me that the number of points needed to reach Level 2 are ever changing - am I crazy?!? I keep thinking that I have finally reached the goal stated the last time I logged on only to be informed that I haven't quite reached Level 2 yet. What exactly is the points needed to qualify for Level 2 - I am anxious to be able to rate the answers to questions I am interested in.

First, you join a party because that's what mummy and/or daddy did. Then, you get the secret handshake and get invited to ALL the fundraisers and riots. Christians are Democrats, Muslims Republicans. "Third parties" are Hindus (Libertarian), Buddhist (Green), Wicca (Peace and Freedom), Pastafarians (Communist) and of course Atheists are independents. Anybody can theoretically vote for another parties candidate (for saint maybe in the case of religion) but the two top parties (sorry, this is horribly USA-centric) cannot cross party lines under any circumstances - they are in the death-match and cannot even switch to the other party without being disowned by their families. Everybody else can pretty much attend the other's festivities and mostly just enjoy life. And of course everybody laughs at the Wiccans and their prospects of world domination (but the Wicca don't mind because they're just in it for the society anyway).

Did I miss anything?

“and he (Jesus) saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.”
[Mark 14:32]

“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened.”
[Luke 3:21]

“And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.”
[Luke 6:12]

“And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”
[Luke 22:44]

“And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”
[Matthew 26:39]

It's a true fact so don't kick your kid out on the street like most ignorant people do because God will send you to hell for dishonoring his Chosen People.

I have devoted myself to a year and a day of study. I feel like there's something inside of me, drawing me to Wicca. I notice little parts of it everyday, no matter where I am. I feel I should tell my family (specifically my dad). I previously was raised as a Baha'i, but some things haven't sat well with me for a long time. This feels right. My dad has many pagan friends, many of whom are Wiccan. He once told me that he would always keep an open mind. However, I have hinted about my beliefs, and every time he becomes hostile and patronizing. My friend once asked him point blank if he would be okay having a pagan doughter. He said yes to her, but afterwords was asking me about a lot of basic beliefs, and treating me as if I knew absolutlely nothing about it. How can I tell him and make him believe that I'm serious about this?

I once saw a Christian that did not pray before eating, is that considered a sin or heinous crime to god. Will he be banished from the church for eternality?
If a person kills twenty people in a mass shooting, is he free of sins after a concession or reconciliation? Will he be able to rise to heaven after death?

I have a purse that has no fastening buttons and I used it for a little bit because it was cute. I did not have a wallet and I paper clipped my money. Someone in my class today stole it when I went to turn in a test I believe. It was 28 dollars and I know it may not seem like a lot. I'm 16 and I don't have a job (too busy with schoolwork to have one) and I work so hard to get my money. I haven't spent it in years, I save and penny pinch everything I can. My friend is always playing with my money and I think it was him, but I have no idea. It's really getting me mad because I can't believe someone would do that to me. Will you please pray for me that I get it back or someone finds it?

I saw an answer from Smiley.George that I thought was just pretty ridiculous so I clicked on him to see who he was. It said he had a 36% percent best answer percentage. I thought how could that be possible with the stupid answers he gives so I started looking at all his best answers. They were ALL chosen by voter. Not chosen by asker. Then I noticed that almost every one of his best answers had exactly 3 votes.

OOOKKKK. So now we all know his answers SUCK. He just gets on Yahoo answers under 3 different accounts and votes for himself everytime the asker doesn't choose a best answer.

So, let's make a deal! Whoever asks a question, if Smiley.George gives you any answer at all CHOOSE A BEST ANSWER! Smiley.George will be down around 1% by the end of the month.

God chose us the 8% of the population for a special reason and you are just sick that you aren't one of us. It would suck to not be one of Gods true Chosen. Don't kill the messenger these are true scientific facts, sorry God didn't choose you to be Gay. He Planned the Universe and Men that weren't Gaay wrote the Bible and Put Gaays down because they were jealous that they weren't chosen. Jesus never said being Gay was bad because he was chosen as well. Ask his disciples if you could they along with the Scientist will confirm this. Don't hate God's Chosen People. God is still mad at the Idiots that wrote the Bible without his permission. Are you all stupid or what.

I have a disorder and I take medication. At times I feel that I am not being faithful because I have a problem mentally. I know that God promised as long as a person is trying to live holy the enemy ( the devil) will come against them. Should I count it all joy that I am able to stand against him even if I take medicine to deal with my mental issues? Or am I not being a good Christian by taking the medication?

and was thinking what it meant. I didn't see any Christians doing this when this happened so what does this quotes mean to you people?

Or can you simply call yourself a Chrisitian because you believe and follow his teachings of love and forgiveness. If Jesus "son of God" status was disproved would your world be turned upside down or would Jesus have relevance in your life?
