I'm a Hindu and I would be willing to marry a Christian, so long as he was tolerant and respectful of my faith, and was a spiritual person.

Whether I could find a Christian willing to marry me, will depend on the Christian. Some would not want to marry a non-Christian, but others would be more open-minded.

I would be excommunicated if I married someone who was hindu, pagan or atheist. If I was converted while being married to someone who held any of those faiths...then I would be recieved with joy. And I would be able to commune. But, if I willfully choose to marry someone outside of Christianity, as it is known in the Trinitarian example of the Eastern Orthodox. Then I would be excommunicated. It is very serious to marry outside your faith.

If a Christian married someone who believed in another God or didn't believe in a God at all there would be a lot of problems especially deciding about the wedding. It would not be a marriage that would last. Also the Bible says to not be unequally yoked. This does not just apply to marriage though. It would be good advice for a business relationship also.

relatively, some Christians do. some Christians do no longer comprehend the marriage as religious if that marriage didn’t take place in a Christian church. surely, in accordance to Catholic dogma, marriage is perpetually; there's no such element as a divorce. (nonetheless it quite is quite useful to Google “Catholic annulment” after examining this.) this suggests that if 2 Catholics have a Catholic wedding ceremony, and additionally a criminal wedding ceremony, yet then they get a criminal divorce, interior the eyes of their church they are nonetheless married! So in the event that they marry different persons after that, they are committing adultery on their better half! I’m no longer saying I believe the above. I’m in elementary terms giving an occasion of ways some faiths/denominations view marriage as a non secular element it relatively is break away a criminal marriage. (relatively, this may be made right into a case, via Catholics, to permit gay marriage legally. they might basically say “nicely, your marriage is criminal, yet no longer religious.” maximum Catholics gained’t do this, yet technically……I’ll pass away you on your guy or woman ideas now.)

We are allowed to marry whom ever we choose. That being said, why would you marry someone who has a different belief system than you do? If any two people are willing to work through those different beliefs and make their marriage work, more power to them. Just seems that it puts an added stessor on their relationship

No I would not. I would not go out on a date with anyone who is not a believer in Christ. A marriage is hard enough without being unequally yoked and having trouble about religion,

It all depends.

I know one Hindu and her brother always wants to have turkey on Thankgiving and she won't allow it.

I wouldn't marry a girl like that. She don't have to eat it, but to forbid others to eat something.

Christians can marry whoever they like regardless of religion. Of course, most who marry Christians see the light and convert, but that's another topic.
