I have devoted myself to a year and a day of study. I feel like there's something inside of me, drawing me to Wicca. I notice little parts of it everyday, no matter where I am. I feel I should tell my family (specifically my dad). I previously was raised as a Baha'i, but some things haven't sat well with me for a long time. This feels right. My dad has many pagan friends, many of whom are Wiccan. He once told me that he would always keep an open mind. However, I have hinted about my beliefs, and every time he becomes hostile and patronizing. My friend once asked him point blank if he would be okay having a pagan doughter. He said yes to her, but afterwords was asking me about a lot of basic beliefs, and treating me as if I knew absolutlely nothing about it. How can I tell him and make him believe that I'm serious about this?

Remind him that Bah'u'lah was open to all religions. This may be a bit further afield than the Baha'is are used to, but nonetheless, Baha'is embrace all faiths.
This may be more about parental authority than about religion. Ask him about what it was like growing up as a minority religion, so that he can give you advice about enduring persecution for your faith.

Why don't you talk to him and tell him that you wish to study. Tell him that you wish to understand what Wicca is all about. At this point, you are investigating, and haven't done an initiation yet.
I don't think you're actually coming out of the broom closet, but more looking inside the closet to see what's there.
Just beginning, there is alot to consider. Wicca isn't like Baha'i, in that there are many many different forms of Wicca. Some are initiatory, some aren't. Some require work in a coven, some are solitary. Some are feminist, some are gay. Some are ecclectic. There's fairie, Dianic, Celtic, Gardnerian and on and on.
If your Dad's open, I think you have a better chance if you approach your studies in an organized fashion.
Please stay away from fluff. There are lots of books out there like "Teen Witch" and "To Ride a Silver Broomstick" and on and on. You deserve a bit better of an education than that.
If you want to study seriously, I'd recommend a program that is well thought out, that gives you a solid background of what Wicca is all about. The site below offers a one year course of study for free. It gives you that solid education, with a tremendous reading list so that you can build your own library (without fluff) for yourself.
I think that if you take it seriously, and not simply play at casting spells stuff... basically realizing that Wicca is a real religion, he might look better on it.
If you have any questions, you can email me. I've been involved in Wicca / Paganism since about 1982.

just be point blank.if you cannot be true about the wicca religion, than what's the purpose?we may feel different about our religion, and some of us still keeps the broom in the closet.but for many nowadays, they are being more open.actually,it is up to YOU.if you think you can tell your father about the path that you have chosen, than go for it.also ask the Goddess what you should do.ask Her if She thinks you should tell or not should tell.the one Goddess that would be good for this,if you already havent known,is the Goddess Bridget.the celtic.remember Her role?psychic, wisdom, truth. She has all the knowledge that you need.call on Bridget and ask Her for Her advice.open up your heart to Her,and pray to Her under the green candle.May the Goddess be with you through this hard time of faith. She is always there when you need Her.trust the call of Her.
blessed be to the highest,
The Morrigan)O(
Under the dark nights that we see through, comes the light of the torch that we see of You.Hecate, the Goddess of the dark Mother,we call for Your blessing of our journey through the darkness as the lost children that we are.please walk with us through the valley of darkness when we are lost.Be with us throughout the time of our dark path until we see the light as a torch of Yours.may You bless us each night we walk through the darkness through the Underworld.which is Yours that you live in.

Just tell him straight out that you are a Wiccan. If he can't accept that for what it is, then so be his twisted mindset. He keeps saying it's okay, then tell him that that is all you have ever heard him say, about keeping an open mind. He should live up to his words, not put out a show for his friends.

If it feels right to you do it. It's your life you only get one trip through it, so go for it.

He'll take it in stride. Teenagers do all kinds of stupid ****. You'll be serious about it for about a year, and then move on to something else.
