I'm not sure. Let me check the Bible and I'll get back to you...

Joking...

Of course, we can think for ourselves! And we do!

Muslimah, how can you come up with these questions? You have been a devout Christian. Of course we are allowed to think for ourselves.

Are you, I was told that Muslim salvation is found in complete surrender to Allah. That is keeping the meaning of Islam ( "submission") and Muslim ("the one who submits" ). Salvation, then , is ultimately based on works. Human effort is pivotal in Islamic view of salvation. Depending on how one fares at the judgment, one will end up either in heaven ( a place of pleasure and many physical delights )or in hell ( a place of torment ) (Surahs 7:8-9; 21:47 )

You do not believe in free will. We do believe that we can think for ourselves. : )

Funny how the ones saying no are Muslims. God granted all of us free will. Some of us seek the truth and some do not. Some will accept the truth and some unfortunately will reject it. Some will choose to follow the teachings of a dead man and reject the truth of God. God allows everyone to think for themselves and reveals the truth to those who seek it.

Why is it that this question comes up all the time? Christians are just people - we happen to know the answer and are forgiven, that's it. There are some of us who are extremely intelligent - there are some of us who are average - there are some of us who have lower intelligences. Christianity doesn't exclude anyone - there are people of all races, countries, backgrounds - God loves everyone.

Yes, Chrisitianity allows christians to think for themselves. That is why there is a choice between heaven and hell. We choose. Not God. All we can do is have faith.

There are plenty of Christian's that have done the research and came to believe based on the true evidence and where it points. Atheists are the ones that have not done any thinking for themselves. If they say they have looked into evolution, the Bible, Jesus etc....and are still Atheists I would be inclined to think that they are lying or total ignorant!

No, we're all robots. That's why all our answers are identical. We have not thoughts of our own to formulate; neither are we allowed to ask questions.

What an asinine question; CONGRATS you just managed to insult the intelligence of every Christian on the forum here tonight. I guess we're not able to think deeply enough to grasp your Flying Spaghetti Monster god.......

Of course it does!
One of God's greatest gifts to us was free-will.
If we don't have the freedom to make our own choices, why aren't we ALL Christians?
God loves us enough to let us choose Him.
God doesn't want a bunch of mindless robots. He wants true worshippers to praise Him in spirit and in truth.

Reading and quoting the Bible puts us in touch with the mind of God. It is His Living Word, which guides us and protects us. It is a Book of His thoughts and deeds. It helps us to understand Him and His perfect plan for us all.

Yes of course. But the strange thing is, once you become a follower of Christ, your thinking changes. With exception to certain TV preachers who have done more damage to the cause of Christ than good.

Christianity demands that you think for yourself.

No one but you and God will have anything to say at YOUR judgment.

On second thought there might be someone reading from the book of life, by the name of Jesus Christ, the Word of God. He could find your name written there and all other pages blotted out by the blood of Lamb.

So would it not benefit you to study His Word.
It's a commitment, but a eternal commitment.

The pay is the same but the benefits are out of this world.

Fundamentalism doesn't. Liberal Christianity does. And in fact, the whole liberal western tradition of freedom of conscience and freethought has Christian roots (specifically in the radical Reformation).
