If God came (which he will never do) and asked if I was ready, I would answer, "I've done everything you've told me to do... You've never spoken to me and you've never answer my questions, so yes, I've been just what you've made me. And, check this out, God, I'm not interested in dieing just yet. I enjoy life, so go away and let me continue to live the good life I've always been living."
Of course, this whole question is just fancy and total hypothetical nonsense... Truly, there is no "God" to prepare for and none to answer to.
If you think that you have spoken with "God" or heard his "word" and you believe that he is real, you are either a complete fool, a complete liar or both.
In your question (above) you've asked for honesty and sincerity... Try putting the shoe on the other foot. Do you believe that the stories and the promises of God are completely and absolutely true? Remember your own plea when you are ready to answer: "...be honest and straight to the point."

I most definitely would say I'm ready. I love the Lord with all my heart. He is my savior and I follow Him the best that I can in my life by reading the bible daily and praying as often as I can. I walk with a clean conscience thanks to the saving grace of Jesus. That's all that's required of us from God. I hope you are ready, too. Merry Christmas!

I thank God through Jesus Christ that I am ready and waiting for the end of this evil age and the millennial reign of Messiah. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done is my constant prayer.

If when you die, you find yourself in the Summerlands, and it's time for you to look at your life and decide whether you spent your time wisely, are you ready? Did you spend your time trying to discover what it means to be here? Did you spend your time in active service to your fellows? Did you honor who they were, or did you try to change them into who you wanted them to be? Will you be satisfied?
Why is it that Christians keep trying to frighten others into believing their way?
Would you be ready?
Aren't you afraid of hell?
Accept Jesus who loves you or he'll torture you for eternity...
Please believe in Christ. Please be a good Christian. Please show by example. Please live a worthy life.
But please, please, please don't expect all to believe the way you do. Please believe that you are right, but please don't preach that because of that, everyone else must be wrong.
I'm sorry if I've taken off, but I've had one of those days where it seems like Christians are everywhere telling me that I'm hellbound for living a life that I feel I'm called to. I'm not a Christian, I'm transgendered. Probably two strikes from the Christian right, but most of the world isn't Christian. It just seems they are the loudest.
For me, God and Goddess are here always, we experience them in my religion always, sometimes closer and more physically than others. It isn't a matter of "when God comes" because they are ever present.

We have all come and gone many times. Are you ready to transcend your karma? It means forgiving, loving unconditionally and no longer judging others. It means turning loose of the selfish, self righteous ego and becoming who you really are.

Your question is a bit confusing! You did not mention Jesus!
However ... I would reply "God's Will be done"!
If I am worthy of becoming forgiven by The Creator, so be it! If not, I did try!
God knows me for who I am, He is my final judge!
Who am I to argue with God?

I would drop everything and follow right along. I wouldn't even stop for my family or friends, well I know they would be coming eventually anyway.

If God came and told you that there's no sin, no hell, but just unconditional love, would you be like the 'good son' in the prodigal son parable and reject that and demand that God be what you and others say he must be like? Or would you accept it?
