I don't know but his birth was not in December according to the biblical version there were sheep grazing and that indicates spring or some other such time of climate . That's how the Muslims tell me they think of it and those who read and trust the bible should refute the misinformation fabricated by their churches and go by the biblical account . Myself I discount both as dubious and will remain the skeptic .
peace out

Jesus' jewish background would have not meant a solstice celebration. His agenda is more the projection of others' agendas; the resulting image is something that is most probably very different from the historical Jesus. Finally, the solstice was incorporated into christianity intentionally because its main spread was via the Paulean, non-Judaic communities which were pagan. It's a common mechanism for religions to present their teachings using familiar rituals and symbols. Note that Zen did it when it spread, incorporating elements of Taoism, etc.

No, nor was he caught up in his own agenda, you do not know the system he participated in. Which was the Jewish calendar which was based on a lunar calendar. However, his agenda - have you never read in the scriptures: "I am the one who sent" "I must be about my Father's business" "I did not come to my own will but the will of the Father", "Whatever I hear from the Father that I do, and speak" - so Jesus' agenda was the Father's not his own.

I like to think Jesus and Mary Magdalene lit candles, burned insence, drank and ate with all the aposles, partyed hard, then made love till dawn in true pagan style. Since the holiday was celebrated for years before he was even born, theres a good chance.

Jesus Christ is the one true God. Celebrating the solstice is a pagan practice. Paganism by definition is polytheistic. But even the heathens on Mars Hill, in Athens in Paul's day acknowledged the existence of the One God.
Acts 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
In this time of celebrating the death and rebirth of the sun god, falsely called the celebration of the birthday of Jesus Christ, the reason Jesus came to earth is still the same reason it was then. He came to save men from their sin and he still saves those who repent of their sin and come to him to be saved, pagan or otherwise.

Agenda? Jesus only spent 3 years on his Agenda.
You imply he spent his whole life preaching and teaching.
