The Christian Scriptures contain many references to both Judea and Samaria. But most of the Christian world now calls Judea and Samaria "the West Bank."

Doesn't it only make sense to change these references in the Christian Bible to say "the West Bank".

Example: the story of the "Good Samaritan" should be changed to the "Good West Banker"

Probably there is no one that is equal to the task really. But you do make an interesting point. Perhaps the good Samaritan should be called the good Palestinian.

No, that wouldn't make sense at all. The borders of the West Bank do not precisely coincide with Samaria and Judea. The geographical area would become vague, and therefore meaningless. Other areas of scripture define Judea and Samaria very well.

Besides, the scriptures warn about adding, subtracting, and altering the Scriptures. Updating language is one thing; changes the names of places is completely different.

The bible is often undertaking to updates, new translations are frequently printed. And in spite of the reality that guy or woman words may be translated relatively in any different case it may be impossible to function, exchange or do away with total memories. once you're speaking approximately subjects concerning homosexuality and equality then i think of i will say, the Bible heavily isn't replaced, in spite of the shown fact that, how the Bible is taught concerning those subjects will exchange. God is unchanging and so his hate of homosexuality keeps to be (it relatively is the act of homosexuality, no longer the guy). additionally i understand that the Bible is against gay marriage. in spite of the shown fact that there are churches that ignore those and can have "as much as date". i think of the undertaking of equality of guy and woman is a much greater sturdy undertaking. it would consistently be study in context and you ought to consistently ask why replaced into it saying what it replaced into.

the Bible is updated, it is more alive than we are! when the places mentioned are called something else now days doesn't mean we need to change the name. the Bible was written over 2000 years ago and the names used where known to the writers in the period. we should do some history work and learn where these regions are located at.

It's been altered enough! God did not give us an outdated tool, only with the Holy Spirit leading our study of God's Word will the Truth be revealed.

"Sanctify them through Thy Truth: Thy Word is Truth" (John 17:17 KJV)
"If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free" (John 8:31-32 KJV)

You need to look at the last few words in Revolations (and excuse my spelling)!

Change anything (yeah, I know it's already been done) and you will burn!

Change nothing!
