To me it seems the most close-minded, ignorant people on the R&S forum don't show their contact info. I wonder if they are afraid of the comments they are going to get back. If they are so worried about what others are going to say about their replies and questions, maybe they shouldn't be one here.

Take this person for example, PinkBabe. She sits and belittles and degrades people of other faiths, but hides her contact info so others cannot retaliate to her evil comments. I feel this is nothing more than an act of cowardice. Agree?

at its most elemental, wasn't Jesus a communist? He preached that people should give up their worldly possessions to follow him. He advocated that the rich should give to the poor. He told us how difficult it was for the rich man to get to heaven. He lived in essence in a commune with his disciples, relying on others to feed and clothe him and his followers. His teachings are all very anti-capitalist, his parables are always emphasizing the little guy, the worker, the servant, over that of the rich man, the owner. Think about it--that is pure communism at work is it not?

(Quote by St Augustine) By being a Virgin and Mother, is Mary is also a figure of the Church and at her most perfect realization? Was her submission to God's will for her an example for all Christians.

Merry Christmas.

Ihave looked into myself in order to try and change and found I am full of hate, pride envy, judgementalness and unforgiveness, etc. I feel like one of those pharisees. I try to change myself and pray for help in it but just can't find the love and peace of Jesus' message.

Think about it.A man from the future goes back in time in his time machine. The machine breaks down.Says to himself "What the hell, may as well make a go of things here".Starts feeding the 5000 with a future device that can make bread.Heals the sick with another device and starts brainwashing everyone aroud him.

I have this wonderful Christian friend. She has very bad eyesight, so she wears glasses. Recently, she's been starting to wear her contact lenses that she never really wore before. Her contacts are daily disposables, so she can only wear it for about a day then throw it away. The reason for this is because her father is very strict about contacts, she right before he comes back from work, she has to take them off before he sees her in her contacts. I honestly don't know why he doesn't allow her to wear them, but she's been really struggling about this. She really wants weekly contact lenses and just be a a normal girl who wears contacts. She's been praying a lot lately, and she tells me that she thinks God isn't going to grant her the weekly contacts unless she does something first, like ask her parents about it which she hasn't done.

So what do you think God is telling her to do?

I answered a question a couple of days ago, and I am still thinking about it.

someone asked what did you learn at church to make you more Christ like or conform more to Christ.

I think as Christians, we should ask ourselves that at every sermon/service we attend.
What do you think?

attack a town and kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

And then "all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. "

Doesn't really sound like a nice guy does he ? Rape and murder all round for this guy.

Its an honest question.

You do realize that pretty much everyone has read the bible and that a person is quite capable of disagreeing with you and your book and actually being educated enough to have read the fiction?

I THINK IT STINKS. I THINK IT'S OBSCENE. How about taking fifty billion of that and feeding and clothing some starving american children? And then take the other half to go play Rambo in Iraq. At least that way,, half of the money would be put to good use. Peace.
