evolutionists. there is no doubt about it.

The christian version is not a theory, it's a story. A theory is an idea about a situation based upon observations. It can be tested against future data and observations, to see if it continues to hold up. If it does not fit the observed data, it is disproved.

Biblical Creation is a myth, like the one that says Odin made the sky out of the skull of a frost giant. It is not a theory as there is no evidence that can be presented to support it (aside from the words of an Iron Age tribe of desert nomads a few.

As to which presents their cosmology more forcefully, it depends on the individual ("Evolutionists" aren't a single entity, nor are "Christians"). Since evolution can be documented, and holds up to the observed data, many people support it very strongly as fact. It's as close to factual as anything you can say is in this world, since it all depends on observation, which is inherently subjective.

However, Creationists probably present their cosmology myth as fact more forcefully, since if anyone was to believe it -- in light of the complete absence of evidence, and in disregard of the overt evidence to the contrary -- it would have to be presented pretty forcefully.

Evolutionists (which are not necessarily exclusive from Christians) present their theory as fact more strongly, but they have evidence with which to do so, and evolution is a proven scientific theory (for comparison, gravity is also a proven scientific theory, i.e. not a scientific law). In scientific terms what Christians (or creationists rather) present as fact is not a theory under scientific definition, but a hypothesis, based on cultural texts and supposition, and lacking any scientific evidence to support it. There is considerable evidence which suggests it is erroneous, but because of the limitations of our physical reality, we cannot as of yet disprove the hypothesis. People unfamiliar with what being a scientific theory really means go on to call creation a theory also, despite it not meeting the standards of the scientific definition.

Umm, the only people who have real verifiable facts are the evolutionists. Sorry folks - but creation mythology cannot be proven as fact. Just because it's in the bible doesn't mean it's fact. If that's the case - I propose Hobbits, Elves, Orcs and Wizards (as told in the Lord of the Rings) are all real. I know it's a fact because it was published in a book. Does anyone else see the flawed logic there - or is it just me?

Evolution isn't a cosmological theory.

This is from an answer I received regarding whether evolution speculates as to the origins of existence:

Evolution has nothing to do with the creation of the universe, galaxies, stars and planets. This means nothing to "Scientific" Creationists who, for the sole purpose of deception, lump evolution, abiogenesis, and cosmology into one. They use this conflation to muddle issues and create an appearance of confusion where there is none. Evolution is a sound theory distinct from hypotheses of the origin of life and the origin of the universe.

I think it's Christians. Back in the days I don't remember Galileo cutting peoples heads off for not accepting what he said, unlike The Christian Crusades.

Evolutionists are progessives and open minded. We are not committed to ultimate truths like religion is. We do not know the answers to all the questions and the little that we do know, if you can prove us wrong, we will give you our highest reward. That is part of the scientific methodology. We have an error correcting mechanism that religion doesn't have.

You should be asking which theory is supported by fact more strongly. Well actually Creation has no real fact just the word in a fable book.

Evolution is scientific fact, with litterally millions of peices of evidence backing it, but it can not explain how the first cells appeared. The word theory in the scientific community is used differently than it is in the scientific community.

Christianity in its mainline form is hurrendously impossible, it not only has no proof, but actually disproves itself in nearly every passage.

So I'm going to say liberal intelligent design evolutionists have the most concrete story.

There is no evidence of any kind (other than the writings in the bible, which is a compiled book whose contents were shaped by 5th-century imperial edict to conform to faith) that the ideas of creation held by christians have any basis in reality. NO evidence. As in none.

There are hundreds of thousands of experiments, observations, fossils, measurements, and artifacts -- across all areas of science, from archeaology to biology to paleontology to anthropology to geology to astronomy and more -- that back up evolution by natural selection.

It's really that simple.

evolution has nothing at all to do with either religion or cosmology. Why do ignorant fundamentalist christians keep insisting it does?

Yeah, that would be science. Creationists never seem to have a theory of their own besides 'god did it' and 'here's why evolution is wrong even though i don't understand it'.
