Those who believe in voodoo and all similar techniques, I want to know what all is it based on? I mean how is it done? like chanting prayers for long long times to make it work for us, or praying ghosts or what else? those who really practice this can answer better.

Today is her Feast Day. Her name means "light". She is the Parton Saint of the Blind, all blindness and diseases of the eye. Maybe you can donate some time or money to the Braille Institute or Guide Dogs for the Blind? Or perhaps go visit a blind person during the holidays?

In my experience, in life and on here people have a very closed mind to different ideas. They believe what they were told growing up.
I want to know whether people believe what they were "spoon -fed" as a child. example, your parents are baptist, and taught you to be baptist, so you are baptist, or your parents were aetheist, so you are aethists? The kind of person that believes the Bible, or Curan or Darwins book on evolution because it is all you ever read
OR
Are you the kind of person that was raised with a set of beliefs, but has actually read readings and teachings of other beliefs to come up with your own conclusion, YOUR own faith.

Two reasons for my thinking.

1.If people do good just so they do not go to hell that means they are not truly good and may not deserve heaven.
2.The existence of hell suggests the awesome glory of Heaven is still not enough of a reward to prevent people from incurring the punishment of hell.

shortly afterward their empire fell and was sacked.
World war two.
Soviet Union, Canada, USA, the three geographically largest countries to fight the germans.
Soviet Union shortly afterward ceased to exist.
Canada facing Quebec being declared a Nation, means shortly it will cease to exist. Vote for Quebec indepedance. This may not happen in my life time but it will happen, i have fore told it.

USA suffers a civil war and ceases to exist, eventually.

but as i have revealed what is secretly in the hearts and minds of many germans they might have be executed.
but atleast i was as immortal as jesus christ because
CHRISTMAS identifies Me as God because God=G+o+d=...=H and M=IVI sealed together.
and as a Lord i cannot accept any challenges because a lord is not allowed to sacrifice I

I practice New Orleans voodoo as my "religion" - it incorporates Catholicism (as I was raised) with voodooism from Haiti and Africa. I alos practice hoodooism, which is not a religion but magick. I got interested after visiting New Orleans, and meeting this wonderful store owner, Anna, at Erzulies. I read up on the topics, and happily converted! I am noticing a lot of people are interested in voodooism and other alternative religions recently. Why do you think this is?

I know for me, traditional religion was either too corrupt or constricting. I find that praying on my own terms is much more realistic and personal to me.

If the religion was always supposed to be practice throughout the world, why were the Jews the only ones that God spoke to. I'm sure if he whispered in Pharoah ear once or twice the Egyptians would have dropped a few gods.

If have heard a thousand times, "I let my children watch that movie because it is true." Does this really justify exposing children to such an extreme level of violence? If I made a move just as violent and gory about the mass murder, rape, and genocide going on in Africa would you still expose your children to it? Would you wait till they were old enough to understand?

Sometimes I struggle we all do. I sometimes get embittered (not nearly as much I used to) God is doing a work, but at times I find my self comparing myself to others, how come this person has 3 kids but does not take them to church and I could not have children yet I am devoted to God.

I get discouraged when I see the wicked prosper when I know of Christians that hardly have anything find a way and make an effort to go to church and will even make church a prioirty by taking a taxi

I see people with moral laxity living in big homes and living large when there are people like myself who waited and took great pains not to tempt my husband before marraige and we at times have struggled and still struggle.

These are the thoughts I get in my mind at times and I wanted to know what is the best way to get healed and delivered from the lifes not fair trap and the comparision trap?

I realize I am human but want to go forward in my walk with God.

ok if god created the whole universe and all the other galaxies then why are all the other galaxies mentioned in the bible? we should know about them right if the bible is gods word. and dont even try to pull the day 1 of genesis "god created the heavens and the earth" because heaven is not all the other galaxies! if man were smart when they wrote the bible they should have put something in there to explain the other galaxies....oh wait SCIENCE is the reason we know so much and that there are other galaxies out there, god didn mention that in the bible, "gods word" so where is it mentioned that god created all the universe and the galaxies in it?

Under the premise that the bible has no errors whatsoever, this seems to contradict the other scriptures: Luke 3:35-36

"Begat" must be the source of confusion, open to "misinterpretation" if the aforementioned premise is correct.

Why Hindus build unauthorised temple with some stone idol in the middle of roads and pedestrians pathways, creating nuisance... to public. Why the corporation doesn't demolish them, when they are demolishing other unauthrised buildings though they are not nuisance to the public and delaying NOC for many Churches though their plans are as per the rules?
