ok if god created the whole universe and all the other galaxies then why are all the other galaxies mentioned in the bible? we should know about them right if the bible is gods word. and dont even try to pull the day 1 of genesis "god created the heavens and the earth" because heaven is not all the other galaxies! if man were smart when they wrote the bible they should have put something in there to explain the other galaxies....oh wait SCIENCE is the reason we know so much and that there are other galaxies out there, god didn mention that in the bible, "gods word" so where is it mentioned that god created all the universe and the galaxies in it?

Because heaven in some instances does mean galaxies. There is the first heaven which is the earlthly realm you and i live in. The second heaven which is the universe. The third heaven which is where God is.

According to fundies, the universe is about 6000 years old, which means the light from the stars less than halfway across our own galaxy should not be visible yet. Every night new stars should appear in the sky as their light finally reaches earth and the light from the nearest galaxy to ours (Andromeda) should not arrive for another almost 2.2 million years. They are just insane.

And you started off so calmly........
The book of Job mentions various constellations.
Job 9:9
Job 38:31-33
Amos 5:8.
The New Bible Dictionary states:
“We assert, then, that the Bible consistently assumes a universe which is fully rational, and vast in size....."
1985, p. 1144.

You said don't bring up Gen. 1:1 Friend, I don't have to, 1st Cor. 15:40-41 There is also celestial bodies, (heavenly Bodies) & some Terrestrial, (EARTHLY) But the celestial is one & the glory of the terrestrial is another. Oh, OH you think you got me, Verses 41 There is ONE GLORY OF THE SUN, & ANOTHER of the MOON,& ANOTHER GLORY OF THE (WHAT?) OF THE STARS, From one star different from another star in glory now if you are not too scare now lets go to JOB Chapter 26:7 He strecteth out the north over the empty place & hangeth the earth upon nothing. How many more verses do you need, I have them, But your case to try to disproved God failed again.

The Bible was written on a "need-to-know" basis. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)
Why do you think that this information would have benefitted us?
ADDED:
Heavens refer to any area above the earth, including the atmosphere where birds and airplanes fly; to space where there are planets and stars and spacecraft, and the spiritual heavens where Jehovah, Jesus, and the angels are.

One of the many definitions of Heaven can be used. You can say Heaven is a place where God resides, and you can also use it as plural,Heavens.
Heaven is not just one place. The universe outside of Earth can,and has been called the heaven's.
Dictionary.com has one example.
Heavens:The sky, firmament, or expanse of space surrounding the earth.
So,when Genesis says God created heaven and earth,it wasn't speaking of just one place.

There is some things that is unimportant to us and not really
any of our business to know. Just take it for its word and stop
trying to figure out the science part of the thing. The Bible is God's word and we should never question any part of it.

hi..dear friend!God didn't mention all the details of this world, because He knew human are clever enough to find out things about them ,themselves...but still He has mentioned some scientific things to make human search more about them&find the details themselves...i haven't read Bible but i know there are some scientific things(in my religious book) which were said long time before human could achieve to...this shows that God knew things before human&that human was a creation itself

What is "heaven" then, if not the lights in the sky at night?
Yet another person who has mistaken the Bible for a science textbook....
