i want to get baptized catholic in either st. sulpice, notre dame, the holy Vatican st. peters or in Lourdes - how does one go about doing this?

In Paris you can find information in the big churches about all these things. They often have programs in English.

Catholic parishes, in those cities or anywhere else, will not baptize a person unless that person is a member of the parish, or at least has received pre-baptismal instruction (which takes nearly a year) through that parish. Baptism is too important to just baptize anyone who walks through the door, without knowing what they believe or how much they understand.

You need to contact the bishop's office in those areas, or, at the least the pastor of those parishes and find out what their requirements are. Have you already taken your catechism classes? Ask your local priest how to go about this...what is your reasoning? To have those records oversees when you will be living, attending church another place is just hard on everyone. Your local parish needs copies of those records...
