For such a silly person, you sometimes ask good questions.
Because God was so impressed by Abraham's faithfullness, God said Abraham's descendants would become a chosen people for Him.
It was always God's intention to have a small group of humans make up a heavenly government (God's kingdom).
God was willing to choose this small group from among the Jews.
However, they rejected the King of that kingdom (Jesus) and so God rejected them.
They are no longer anything special in God's eyes.

It's a misunderstanding. God never meant that he chose just this single tribe of people to like best. It meant that He chose them to be the keepers of His laws and the teachers of His ways, and that through their lineage, the Messiah would come and all mankind would be saved. Christianity teaches that there is no Jew or Gentile, that all men are saved through their faith in God, regardless of their genetic heritage.
In fact, the Bible does speak of many kings of pagan empires being directly spoken to by God, and heeding His voice. Remember the Pharaoh who took Sarah from Abraham? Or King Nebuchadnezzar or King Darius? There were many others.

What makes you so sure that God spoke only to Jews? Suppose that he spoke to Indians through Buddha, and to Asians through Lao-Tsung?
Why do people read only the Bible, and think it is the ONLY source of a belief system in the universe. Read some of the other spiritual literature of the world, get out of your own way, and maybe you can answer your own question.

The Egyptians didn't listen.
The Jews were chosen to be a consecrated people through whom the Messiah would be born of a virgin.
The only gentiles that listened to God were the Ninivaites who repented after a reluctant prophet prophesied doom. [Jonah]

The Old testament is the book where you will find the Jewish people have said they were the chosen of God.
The New Testament is the book of Christianity and you will not find references to the Jewish people as the chosen there.
It is certain that God has spoken to all the major religons however, we simple do not have a written record of it as we do with the Torah.

So God never tried to teach Pharoah the truth? Is that why Abraham fled Egypt? Is that why Moses fled Egypt? Because Pharoah was so tolerant and accepting? LOL

Don't you know God has always played favorates.
If you aren't one of his favorates then he'll send you to be tortured forever. Ignore the fact that he made the choice who his favorates would be before anything else! He had to after all how else could everything fall exactly the way he planned it!
Remember the Pink Monkey has a plan and his plans always work! HOW ELSE CAN HE GET THE BANANA?

God chose Abraham to be the Father of the Jewish nation because his faith pleased God and he was obedient. "And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord declared him righteous because of his faith." Gen 15:6.
Thus the Jewish nation were chosen to teach the world about God and his plan to bring forth a Savior through their lineage

All the confusion is caused by the simple misunderstanding of what it means to be Chosen.
