He's appointed as king of his own HUGE spiritual domain by God, where he roasts many more souls than heaven has, so in size, it must be a bigger roasting space than heaven is a rewarding space for good souls. He seems to have so much powerful influence on earth, as Earth too seems to be all Satan's. Wow, so God Gives Satan power on Earth, his own Kingdom in Hell, which must be a VERY big spritual place for roasting human mammal's souls. Or maybe, the souls are shrunk to fit them in? hmm. Anyway, Why did God give Satan so much? he must really be partial to Satan.....

My family and my fiancee's family are soooo old fashioned. I read the bible plenty of times. I just think that it's an old wives' tale so that people would get married b4 moving in with each other. The why buy the cow when you can have the milk for free thing. Back in the day, people got married at a young age (13-18) I'm 29 and my fiancee is 28. We moved in together b/c we lived in the same apt complex paying 565 each and we thought about saving some money since we are together all the time. We were just using the other place as a closet. I thought that was the best move and now we are saving money to get married. Every time someone says that's a sin, I say show me where it says that in the bible and if they think that the ways of the old are the same as today...I think not!

In one it appears that Achan is the son of Carmi, because it says "son of Carmi." In the others, it seems he is the son of Zehra, because it says "the son of Zehra."
I know that many believe the bible is inerrant and infallible. Therefore it must be some sort of misinterpretation.
Is this scripture "out of context" or is it "not meant to be taken literally"? I've included a link to various versions of the bible so I don't think it's a "mistranslation" or that "son" actually meant something else. I think it must be a "misinterpretation" as this has always been a go-to answer. By stating that it's a misinterpretation, no one is obligated to give evidence of the right answer, or how to go about obviating misinterpretation in the first place.

Why as a christian country although multi ethnic do we have to deny our christian beliefs and christian symbols. We are the majotity in this our country, Muslims are allowed to wear articles of faith, as are Hinu's etc and those of the Jewish faith. We know Christmas as CHRISTMAS a celebration for birth of Jesus the Christ, we also wear the Cross a symbol of our christian faith and have holy days throught the year to celebrate our faith. So what's with the don't call Christmas "CHRISTMAS" but call it Yuletide or Winter Festival etc And don't wear your Cross or you will offend the ethinic minorities, or sing your christian hyms in case you offend. Lets us Christians celebrate our Holy days and wear our christian symbols etc.

What's to be gained by the constant prejudice endured, being ostracized by one's own family and friends?

What must it be like to not be able to display a picture of your significant other in your place of employment, for fear of reprisal?

Wouldn't it be awful to love someone dearly, yet know you could never marry?

What heartache to spend a lifetime with someone, only to find that you are unable to help make end of life decisions, even though your partner has made his/her last wishes clear to you.

The list of reasons why people WOULD NOT CHOOSE to be gay goes on. So I ask again...

Why do you deny that to be gay is to be born gay? What makes you think homosexuality is a choice?

I know nothing about this religion, besides the ridiculous antics of tom cruise. I heard the other day that People that practice scientology believe something about a spaceship crashing into a volcano or something as the beginnngs of their religion? Could anyone just briefly sum up the beginnings of this religion, because this sounds entirely to good to miss if what i heard was remotely true. I am curious to know more about it, before i form an opinion.

If every man, woman and child on the planet followed Christiantity, would 'Heaven' have enough room? Would 'Hell' disappear? Would 'his Lord's' work be done, and the world would end?

It's a serious question. I know Christians who see it as their duty to bring everyone into their church. What exactly would that achieve, and what would happen, according to the bible and any other views?

"Raca". If it is, then why is it so offensive?
The meaning of Raca also, I know what it means, I need to know if using the other words that describe it is as saying the word itself.

I am currently a study student with the Jehovah Witness'. Me and my husband just recently got married, and we want to do our personal study together with his teacher. I don't want to hurt my study teacher's feelings as she is already disappointed that I didn't tell her that I was getting married. I just want to make sure everything is done appropriately.

I've had a hard time grasping this here. How is it that you "seek God first"? I'm not even sure how to seek God at all. So, please help. Thanks!
ps - any snary, ill intentioned, rude, and callous responses will all be ignored. anyway, Thanks!

Was He more concerned with making sure we knew what our sins were or was he more concerned with showing us how to live and bring Heaven here, now?

I've read the red letters, so I already know the answer. I'm just wondering what your perceptions are based on what Jesus actually said and did.
