If we do then we are wrong in our thinking.
We should do what is right. The question then becomes, What is right?
Although that is a much harder question it is a much healthier approach and permits justice and mercy.
I'd much rather have justice and mercy than rights.
Rights is selfish but what is right considers the concerns and needs of everyone with due regard to their humanity and circumstances. Much harder but much better.
What is right rewards those who deserve but rights rewards the undeserving and can penalise others unfairly.
What is right encourages responsibility, rights permits irresponsibility.
We no doubt think we have rights because we are basically self centred.

Do we? The only thing the goverment does not control in this country is how much I can pee. They can take just about anything away from me, except what i have in my brain. Are we the free country that the government tells us we are. NOPE, rights, ha! Seems like a criminal has more rights than the honest working person.

It is a part of our social contract that was agreed to by our forefathers. There has, for the last 250 years, an ever increasing accumulation of individual rights, and those rights have become more and more ingrained into our culture. My hope is that this growth in individual rights continues so that every person can find the ways to express more fully who they individually find themselves to be.

Of course all people have natural rights, but too many have the bull sh it Pc mob puking up their delusional fantasies on society. On radio 4 last night a Turkish woman in London, we learnt, is provided with a translator to explain the therepy to help her quit smoking. Now i lived in Turkey and I liked most, but that's not the issue. Her reply to is she worth it were two words..."My rights!" say no more.....

what kind of question is that. do you think we dont have rights. its people like you that are causing this country to fall. if you dont think you have rights what are you doing about it. if your not doing anything about it just complaining you should leave the country and see how many rights you have somewhere else. people like you make me sick.
