1 timothy 4:1-4
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to decieving spirits and doctorines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be recieved with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

you were in a place where you could listen to a well-trained and enthusiastic human OR Jesus the Christ, which one would you want to pay attention to?

Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

If you do believe that Matthew 18:20 is correct, why go to church and listen to a preacher? Wouldn't Jesus teach it better?

Someone answered one of my other 'Christian questions' with:
"You must be aware of the story when Jesus and The Disciples were in the Galilee,Jesus was asleep, a raging storm came that was going to tip the boat over the disciples awaken Jesus to calm the storm, He abates the waters then he asks them: "where is your faith? have I not told you?" The very Disciples could have stopped the storm but fear over came faith.I honestly believe We could tell a mountain to uproot itself and it would, if our mind had the straight. Personally my faith is Strong, my mind is weak."

Why do you want quantity over quality? More weak minds will help your church how?

I asked a question about the virgins in Paradise, and some Muslims got upset about it. Some denied there was anything in the Quran about it, but here it is in black and white, in the description of the rewards received in Paradise:

055.056: In them will be (Maidens), chaste, restraining their glances, whom no man or Jinn before them has touched

If you don't like what's in the Quran, why are you a Muslim? What's to be ashamed of? At least in Muslim countries there are still some virgins. What's wrong with some rewards in Paradise?

Just like children leave their parents and live their own life separate from their parents when they grow up, we should also stop sticking to god and accepting his morals. We're all grown up, and not kids anymore. He has no more right over us.

He has no right to hang on to us, and keep telling us what to do. If he thinks I'm sinning, then that's his issue. If he sends us to hell, it's only because he has the strength to do so. Paranoid and vindictive.

Jesus said that those who followed him would be able to do all of the things he was able to do (turn water into wine, heal, mutiply food, walk on water, command the seas, etc), and greater. I do not see even a glimpse of any Christians doing anything like that now;

So if he fails to follow thru on that promise, why should I believe any of his promises?
