John 10: 34 "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods"'?

So far when I ask about this I am always told I am miss reading these passages. To me they are straight forward. We have become as gods only lacking immortality in the physical sense. Why can't people accept that what was said may actually be what was meant?

I find CNN does help my cardiovascular more so than FOX NEWS... One does nothing but talk about religous killings, and the other denies there is even a nation named Iraq. haha

ok god created his first children (angels) then he created huemans then 1 of his angels come 2 earth (satin) and cerupted gods inocent human children. Who were so innosent eve didnt even realise that snakes cant talk n satin used the snake like a vantrilacst doll 2 con eve n appeal 2 her curiosity. so why if god is so loving n caring n all 4giving did he use the innocent 2 punish n set an eggsample with the loss of paridice the suffering of children etc... 4 all the other angels instead of punishing satin who ultimatly commited the sin of corupting gods innocent humen children n nip it in the bud? after all if we were made in his image minis the power of himself n his angels surly he could have done a better job of looking after his human children then making all of us suffer 4 an angel who did know better but defied god out right .couldnt he have been punished insted of being banishing satin 2 earth 2 add even more suffering? he was the bigger n better angel abusing gods trust?

I've heard that upwards of 3/4 Americans are Christians. I received a good amount of Christian indoctrination, as a tot, but I didn't swallow it hook, line, and sinker. I think it satisfies and inate weakness in Man.

Many religions will try to tell people what Christ meant by what he said. I want to know what the greatest teacher, Jesus, really meant. I already find it hard to trust religions that present the bronze skinned, hair of wool Jesus as a slender white man. Can anyone direct me to the truth about Rabbi?

Maybe they could just say "Merry Christmas" on December 25th, on the other holidays say "Happy Merry Whatever". In between holidays the stores could say "Happy Holidays". Or does might make right?. The bible does says the meek shall inherit the earth.

The house that I used to live in as a child gave me awful experiences. It started when we moved in when I was 8, my sibs & I dreamt of the same black things haunting us. Imagination, maybe. But then I started having recurring nightmares in this one room & I would wake up yelling for help & for mom. When I was 15 I had a dream that I floated out of my body & went down the stairs & saw myself on the kitchen floor bleeding to death & I went back up & fell back into my body. A year later I shot myself in that room while completely intoxicated, blacked out & I didn't know what I was doing. I don't remember doing it but I remember being on the kitchen floor after my sis & bro carried me down the stairs to get me out of smoky room. I was on the same spot I saw myself in the dream a year earlier. A person who lived in the house prior had shot & killed himself in the house. Someone who's grandma was a witch in the 1900's cursed the house while intoxicated. What do you think?

It is also the foundation of Christianity, a lot of Western civilization and Islam, even if Muslim fundamentalists don't want to admit it. We got our concepts in philosophy, literature, psychology, capitalism, values, and family out of this religion. Shouldn't we give it more credit?

I'm doing a paper on the mystical orientation of hinduism, buddhism, judaism, christianity, and islam. I'm not sure what this means even though i have the definition.

Mystical orientation- seeks union with a reality greater than oneself, such as with god, the process of nature, universe, or reality as a whole. There are often techniuess for lessening the sense of one's idividual identity to help the individual experience a greater unity.

Can someone help me on some examples or a better definition for this?? thanks! best answer gets 10 points!!!!
