From my knowledge, I have not found a place in the Bible that explains that animals will move on to heaven. Not the ones who have already lived, anyway. There are, however, passeges that speak of animals in heaven. Whether they were previously on earth or whether God will create new ones, I do not know. But there 'will' be animals in heaven.
Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
I think the greatest part of that is that all animals will be tame, and will nto harm us anymore. So we can be friends with any of the most dangerous animals here. ^_^
I hope that helped!
Blessings And Love

I have asked that very question and here's the most encouraging Biblical answer I received: animals are referred to in the Genesis as creatures, which literally in Hebrew means "spirit being". If an animal has a spirit, it can have life outside of the body, in heaven.

Animals do not go to Heaven. They do not have immortal souls, and Christ did not die on the cross for them. You will not find any passage in the Bible that states that animals go to heaven. As a dog lover myself, I know it's not what you want to hear, but....sorry!

I believe so to. After all they did recieve the breath of life and have blood in them (somewhere in Genesis).G-d had compassion for the people of Ninive and all the animals in that city, somewhere in jonas. I believe there are animals in heaven and that they are ALL the animals that came to the earth, after all the bible says that the whole of creation awaits G-d's kingdom to come!

I have been reading the Bible for many years and can tell you that there are no verses stating that animals go to heaven. They are not created in the image of God, we are. There are verses that state that God values us far above anything else He put on earth.

We don't even go to heaven. We have resurrection on earth.
Ps. 37:11: “The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”
Rev. 21:1-4: “I saw a new heaven and a new earth . . . I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’”
Mic. 4:3, 4: “They will not lift up sword, nation against nation, neither will they learn war anymore. And they will actually sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and there will be no one making them tremble; for the very mouth of Jehovah of armies has spoken it.”

It says in the Bible that Jesus will come back riding a white horse. If there are horses in Heaven I hope and pray that I will see my pets when I arrive.

Anything with a spirit (i.e., a life) goes to heaven when it dies. That includes people, animals and even plants. What would heaven be like without fabulous animals and beautiful plants?

Since animals are not capable of reason or distinguishing right from wrong, they will not be judged on Judgement day, therefore their life ends when they die. However, there are animals in heaven and if one goes to heaven, I'm sure they can wish for their animal on earth to join them. In heaven you get what you wish for.
