Hey scorpi your religion sucks!

Are you tolerant, do you know now?
I am very tolerant when people ask about my lack of religion. Happiness to all, don't be mad because someone doesn't agree with you.

I am tolerant of people who have faith in whatever faith calls to them, and I try to learn about many different faiths with an open mind to help develop my tolerance(because that is a big part of who I am), BUT, when someone is cutting down another religion I am not at all tolerant of that persons intolerance. Should I work on being more apathetic? or should I stand up for the rights of all peoples to have faith in something? I know what I would do. :)

My middle school teacher taught me this a while back, and I have remembered it since. It doesn't matter really what religion you are. Religions no matter what are closely tied together. I'm pretty sure Jesus, Buddha, and Allah didn't have a conversation or talked to each other on cell phones to discuss what to teach about when they walked about the Earth, but they taught closely related things. You might say that Jesus taught about salvation just by believing, and in turn, you will do good works;while Buddha taught about Buddhist salvation is when you do good works to earn your salvation, which is reincarnating into something better than human.(obviously) These religions all taught about not wasting time with materialistic things because there is a greater "being" up there that we should really concentrate on.

I like to think that I'm very tolerant when it comes to that. I'm a Wiccan. Intolerance towards Wiccan/Pagans/Witches is a constant, everyday thing. But, the main part of Wicca is love. I know that the God and Goddess are with me no matter what anyone says or does. I firmly believe that with love in your heart you can't be intolerant towards others. I accept everyone for who and what they are irregardless of what they believe. I also know that love is not something that Wiccans have a monopoly on. Love is the main teaching of the majority of relgions. I just find sad when the followers of those religions don't see that.

For the record I am wiccan. (pagan, witch).

We have had to deal with alot of misconception of what we do or are about.

Im am quite tolerant to a point. If they say things like I wonder if she is a white witch or a black witch. I point out things in a calm manner and say. A witch is a witch is a witch. There aren't any distinctions as popular belief has it.

But if I find someone preaching to me about how Im evil and Im going to hell. Then I do ask them why they think that way. Because we are not about evil. Nor do we believe in hell or satan.

We had a wiccan shop in my home town and the christians, made threats to the owners, left pigs blood on the window and pavement, sent letters to say they were praying so that they would go out of business.

Im like thats not very christian. "do unto others as you would have others do unto you".

You wouldn't find a group of pagans doing that to a church.

You might find some misguided youths cloaking themselves using the words they identify as paganism....doing silly things like that. But in general no true pagans.

So to sum it up pretty tolerant, it doesn't matter what others believe or think it matters what my relationship is with the Goddess and God.

But spread the wrong word about my religion then I probably will say something. It depends on the level of misconception.

Blessed Be

I am extremely tolerant. For one thing people sometimes attack a religious(or in my case, a spiritual) belief system out of ignorance and learned prejudice. If a Christian for example attacks me its because Christianity teaches that religious and spiritual exploration is a fast ticket to hell. I can't really blame the individual for the belief system of others that has been abusively thrust upon them since childhood. Another reason I am tolerant is simply because in spite of my opinions on tolerance, Jesus always taught and lived tolerance above and beyond human understanding. I'm not sure why or how he managed to be so tolerant but I really think he got something right during his walk on earth so I try to follow his footsteps as well as I can.

Very, and christians should be.WWJD. He wouldnt get pissed off at a muslim nor would he at the jews which crucified him.Getting upset at this is merely a natural emotion of the animals we are. It is undyling difficult to turn your cheek. One thing that helps is this thought
People say utter crap about your religion is not gonna believe you if you try convert their belifs, so why should they bother to convert yours. In all honesty 90 percent of the time its a contest of self esteem not what they honestly believe. HUMAN NATURE. some people feel higher than others by puting others down. ALL people in any beliefe or religion have done son in their life time. ITs like a drug. Its addictive as masturbating. Innapropriate reference but its true. Don't try to win an argument, your just giving them food. just walk away. They're overranting without response harms there credibility to themselves and subcontiously wether or not the may want to bother trying to put someone down.

Without having tolerant attitude, it is not possible to convince other party.
Every person has right to have their sincere opinion, and like wise every person have right to either defend or clear the allegations or answer remarks.
In both sides people have to show respectable approach.
Tolerance is one of the traditions of all Prophets (Peace be upon all of them).
They preached with tolerance and patience.

It depends on how informed their opinion or statement is.
Telling me I'm damned or that I'm a retard means that I will ignore you for the rest of my life.
Saying that Wiccans or that all Pagans engage in human sacrifice will spark off a hot argument, and in person may go all the way to fisticuffs and/or finding a gun.
Discussing human flaws or hypocracy may spark a conversation.
Discussing how many Wiccans it takes to change a lightbulb will spark agreeing laughter....

I'm not a Christian, so don't expect me to be tolerant of attacks....
