This is actually going to take a little explaining. For this answer to make sense we need to establish some common terms. First off. God the father is the father of our souls. Jesus is the Son of God and this means he had a very special place in God's plan. god refers to a type of personage who has all the qualities we think of when we think of a god. Jesus as the Son of God did everything he needed to to please his Father God. The end result is that he was exalted (promoted) to the position of god. This is a natural course of events and the reason Jesus is so important in our lives is that Jesus is now able to set the terms for us to become that way also if we want it badly enough. As you study you will learn that Jesus took our sins upon him and we will be washed clean through him. Then we will be presented to God the Father after judgment and allowed to receive this promotion also if we met the terms Jesus set down. In this way Jesus is also a god.

Look at some of the prophecies about Christ
Mic 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Look how the New Testament places his position as God
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Rom 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.
Phi 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Tit 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
1Jo 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
There are many more, remember also Jesus is the only being other then the Father who can forgive sin, and remember how he was worshipped by some of those whom he healed. The list goes on, but i hope this help, God bless.

Jesus is the Second part of the Trinity.
There is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit.
The best way to explain the Trinity to your friend (because he's actually correct in both instances). Is there is the three leaf clover...each leaf represents each Persons of the Trinity, they are on the same stem.

You'll get a lot of answers here, but ....... consider this scenario....
Jesus was NOT God. He was the son of God, as we are *all* sons of God, children of God. God is our Father. Jesus carried the divine sound current which channeled the message of God and he was highly evolved. Jesus said of himself and to all who listened, "you too can do all of these things and more" which was one of the main messages he came to deliver. We can all be like Jesus, we can all evolve to become as he was. The purpose of life on Earth is to discover our true selves. There is only one Supreme Deiity and the only thing he can send as far down as the physical plane (which is entirely too coarse for God to descend into) is the sound current, which vibrated within Jesus. This will not "mesh" with Christian teachings, but Jesus was misunderstood by most and this is what he came to reaveal to mankind.

God is one
God personality is trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
A lot of people do mistake when they think that only God = Father
and this is wrong, but they don't except when we say God = Son
Jesus is the son of God which mean he is God
Not there is A God and his son they r not two but they r one
it is expresion refering to whom is Jesus

Jesus is definately not God. He called Jehovah God, "my God" and "my Father". Jehovah called Jesus, "my Son, in whom I am well pleased." Unfortunately, some teach lies about their true nature, but Colossians 1:15 calls Jesus the "firstBORN of all creation" and says that all other things were created "through him and for him." God always was and always will be. He was not created or born.

That depends on the Christian tradition you're a part of. In Catholicism, there is a belief that Jesus was God incarnate, and that God manifested in Jesus after the Holy spirit of God impregnated Mary. In most Protestant denominations, he's the Son of God, and god is the father of Jesus.

yes.... Jesus is God......
Consider:
John Adams has a son..... His son is named Raymond..... Raymond is the son of John and both bare the name Adams.....
Being in his father's image... they both are Adams......
Let me elaborate.......
Jesus was with God in the beginning and was always known as the Lord.... However, God the Father was known as the LORD (capital)....... Without him was not anything made that was made..... Now, through him, all work was wrought.... without him nothing was done.... God said "let it be"... and Jesus went to work..... he is the son...... However, when God needed to end the means of sacrifice among men, He sent His only son..... Christ, being the son became the son of God in human flesh.... He is still God... but he was flesh...... Until he returned to his throne at the right hand of God......

Ginger
