when Jesus teaches that every time that anyone who is not God determines whether and how another person has sinned, a 'copy' of that sin is put onto the soul of the person judging?

Dear raxivar,

i'm not sure where you are getting the teaching that you stated above in regards to "a copy of that sin is put onto the soul of the person judging." (that is no where to be found in the Bible).

Jesus does teach believers that God is the only judge. Not to judge others lest they themselves be judged. This is often misunderstood. The term the Bible uses for judging paints the picture of a court room where the judge has rendered the final judgement (and this is God's job alone).

It does not mean that people are not to be discernful of sin. Jesus himself demonstrates this when he encounters sinners (ie: the story of the adulterous woman) Jesus does not say- she's a terrible person, and she will always be a terrible person (even though she had been married 7 times and was living with a man not her husband). Jesus loved her and she came to know and live for God.

And in much the same way though people all have their shortcomings- Christians are to believe that by the Power of God's love people can change. There are so many stories even of pastors who lived sordid pasts who came to know God and had their lives changed.

i hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

If you take this understanding to it's fullest extent, then no one should work in law enforcement or politics at all. I shouldn't be an insurance claims adjuster then either. We are told in the bible to do our work well.

Being a judge or a cop, or anything like this doesn't mean you are being a judger of persons. These people are just doing there job, nothing to do with their religious beliefs.

A court judge is not acting in a spiritual, but secular manner. The rulings are in violation of law, not sin.

It is not talking about being a Judge of human law - its talking about judging who is going to Hell, or who 'really' living a godly life, etc.

As for the rest of what you said - its scriptural reference is questionable at best.

You're wrong about xeroxing sin. Total misunderstanding.

Juries usually make the big calls.

jesus refers to morality, judges rule over violations of law. do not mix the two up.

You're right, lets just not have judges and let every criminal run free in society. Get a grip!
