Having faith and deeply believing?
Im still young {15} but i have no faith although i believe. Im coufused about life { its not because im a teen} I think that part of the reason is i feel i have nothing to live for. Im not suicidal but i dont see a point in living. I have had so much tragety in my 15 years that i have lost all faith. I have went to 2 diffrent churches. One i was at till i was 9 but the pastors wife accidently burnt me with a hot glue gun and she refused to let me call my mom and let me cry in front of at least 30 pepole. So a few years ago i went back but to a diffrent church and they seperated whites from blacks and that ment that i had to be seperated from my cousion because they thought that i was white. We sat through a 5 hour service { it was easter} and it was the worst exepreince in my life. So, i dont go to church. When i was 8 i saw my great grandma dead on our couch. It was terrifying. And ever since then i have had nightmares about her. Countinued

Science is the one true religion. After all man created gods, not the other way around. It continues to amaze me that even with all the evidence available that discredits the existence of gods, many still believe dispite the evil commited in the name of gods.

Christians are all followers of Jesus. Then why most Christians(Catholics, Protestants, etc) eat pork? Why do Christians do not observe Jewish traditions? Please dont cite Bible verses.

I want answers based on history and facts and not based on faith.

Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to me Lord Lord, shall enter in to the Kingdom of Heaven, except those who do the will of my Father which is in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, "Have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name cast out demons? and in you name done many wonderful things?
23 And then I will say to them, I never knew you: Depart from me you all that work wickedness.

Growing up in a very religious family, I've heard all the sermons about affairs, and how they are a sin against God and a failure of your promise to your spouse.

My marriage is really struggling, probably a couple of years now. We've tried to keep it together, and I've managed to stay faithful, but God knows how hard it's been.

Each day, the sting of lonliness is like daggers in the heart. With each passing day, I find it harder and harder to stay faithful. I miss the affectionate touch of a woman.

Maybe I just needed a place to vent, but I find it so frustrating that religion is inhibiting my passion.

Something is going to break, just not sure if it's going to be my faith(ie have an affair) or my marriage.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a while now. He is athiest, and I am Christian. You know how in church, they say you should show your faith by your actions?? That's how I fell for him. He is not a bad person at all and I was shocked when I found out he wasn't religeous at all. I accept that we have different beliefs, but i'm concerned because the bible says that a Christian should not be with a non Christian (2 Corinthians 6:14). I love him with all my heart, but I don't know if I am upsetting God by staying with him.

Christianity is the only religion I know of in which its members are all sinners, and the only one that believes that their sins will somehow be forgiven by some ancient execution.
Sin is not "missing the mark" as some people here believe: the bible makes it clear that sin is an abomination, and must be atoned by sacrificing bullocks (old testament) or a human (new testament). Jesus made it clear that sin is a choice and not something unavoidable: "Go and sin no more".

When I ask people why certain things like working on the sabbath and women talking in church are okay then they tell me that those are outdated rules that no longer apply, but when I ask why things like homosexuality are wrong they tell me it's because the bible says so and the bible is the word of God... how do I know which rules to follow and which ones are outdated? If God is infallable then how can his word be "outdated"? If the bible was written by humans and not by god (in which case it's possible for it to be outdated) then why should we follow its word?

Based on old testament practices Jews slaughtered animals to rid themselves of sin. The high priest would go into the temple and behind the veil into the Holy of Holies and sprinkle blood on the ark of the covenant. Today no one knows where the ark of the covenant is and the temple is not under Jewish control. Christians believe that after the Christ died sacrifices were no longer nessecary because the Messiah had come. But the Jews don't beleive Christ is the Messiah. They are still waiting, so what do they do to absolve sin now?
