Science is the one true religion. After all man created gods, not the other way around. It continues to amaze me that even with all the evidence available that discredits the existence of gods, many still believe dispite the evil commited in the name of gods.

i agree to a certain extend but I think that religion gives some people direction and "rules" to live by as well as hope for an afterlife

Who is to say really? You have no real proof and religious people have no real proof. Science is lovely but its extent is only so much. We will run into dead ends and most likely never find an answer for it. The simple question where did life come from if all life must come from the life before? You may say we will know one day but until then we are on level ground and you should not think that you are perfectly correct until proven otherwise.

Organized religion is evil. People that believe in a god are not evil. Brainwashed maybe, but not evil. Science is not a religion.

I think there are plenty who can see the evil of religion, I for one do. I think we need to be more open about it and look into the claim that religion is good for people and for society because I really don't think it is.

I can see the evil of religion. But I can also see the evil of science, so what does that make me?

Yes. I see evil acts and thoughts in many supposedly religious people.
If you state science as the one true religion, does your question mean that you see evil in science ?

Science is not the "one true religion." (There is no such thing!) Even science is susceptible to the corruption of human nature. Many scientific discoveries, particularly in the field of archeology, are supressed and covered up because they contradict the accepted "scientific" model.

The people who interpret can be evil. Being spoon fed religion and philosophy is plain stupid and cowardly.

I'm not affiliated, but science does not really rival religous basics. It rivals those who cannot accept change and new ideas.

False Religion is very evil. It is Satans tool to fool more people. There are so many beautiful things that prove the exixtence of God. I can't imagine how sad it would be to think this world is all there is. That is depressing.

When has religion ever not been evil? Those who are truly sincere with their religion end up corrupting something. Sounds like twisted logic, but I have witnessed it.

I agree, but do not see it ending any time soon. People are very attached to their religion, and generally would prefer not to be confused by anything as inconvenient as a fact. We see it all the time in this forum.
