When I was on a mission teaching people about my beliefs I was only looking for people who were looking for me. I believe that all men are created with the right to worship how where or what they will.

Religon is powerful. Powerful enough to make people believe far beyond logic and powerful enough to convince somone to kill themselves.

If we all agreed that there is no God.
If we all agreed that Islam is the only path to God/Allah.
If we all agreed that Christianity and the triune God was the only path.
If we all agreed on anything at all in reference to a Creator or lack there of.

We would all be bored and have no reason to follow our own unique path. We wouldn't need freedom of thought or any sense of individuality.

What are your thoughts?

Which religions can easily be proved false? Attempt #2 (I got 2 good response first try)

From an objective standpoint, which religions can be proved false. Could anyone who responds not give one line answers.

Example response:
1. Norse Mythology: There was a world serpent that was wrapped around the Earth several times that Thor would fish for with an Ox's head.

From all of the submarines, and boats in the world it seems unlikely that such a massive beast would go unnoticed.

2. Greek Mythology: Gods lived in a palace on Mount Olympus built by Hephaestus with large walls around the palace.

There is no palace on top of Mount Olympus.

3. Scientology:
- costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to learn advanced doctrines.
- Xenu used trillions of Douglas DC-7s?
- Xenu brought Trillions of frozen aliens to Earth just to kill them

I've also been honing my ability to massively delude myself. I thought I lost this ability after I gave up Christian superstitions but I saw that it was still there, just needing the desire to be special and believe in some virtual reality of utter bullsh!t. I picked Wicca and witchcraft because it will shock the christian fundamentalists which will REALLY give me the identity I'm looking for. I've already had family members and friends treat me in that special way I've been looking for. Have I done enough?

this is what i heard someone say
"Give God the first portion of your income. Give it first. Not after the deducts, the grocerys, and the social security. If you say to god "im gonna give god a little of whats left" ....you do, and thats what your gonna get from God"

What is the difference in the brain patterns of a person who experiences a miracle, to that of a person who experiences fear/danger/threat to life?

What does this suggest about the way we think? Or what does this say about "our thinking" in general?

Note: Brain patterns are ideas that are associated with encephalogic studies. They are studied using electro-encephalograms.

Note: If you are sincerely answering this question do provide your sources accurately.

Now i know about the law of three but sometimes it doesn't aply. Like the other day i did a protection spell and i didn't get any protection, instead i got conflicts. And there is this girl in my school who is wiccan but she does black magic all the time and i can't stop her. So my question is CAN I DO A REVENGE SPELL THAT DOESN'T HAVE VERY BAD EFECTS ON HER SO THAT SHE CAN LEARN HER LESSON? because you see i have withnesed her doing voodoo magic and she drew a pentagram. That is wiccan right? Oh are there any other religions that use magic exept wicca?

I heard someone say, "what if Einstein had been aborted". And I thought, "well, gee, what if his parents never had sex in the first place?"

Which brings us to the deeply philosophical question: is abstinence murder?

My sunday school teacher, Mr. Hooper, says that athiests (bless their souls in the name of the one and only all mighty Lord) say that Christians are deluded because they can't prove that God exists but really they are deluded because they can't prove that God doesn't... then I asked my Uncle Jimmy about it and he said that Athiests and Christians are equally deluded because neither of them can conclusively prove or disprove any of the involved premises... he says that the only logical stance on the subject is agnosticism...

I think Uncle Jimmy is going to hell because he doesn't believe in God. I'm not going to buy him a christmas present this year.

I am a christian woman. I also come from a christian family. My brother brought his girlfriend and her daughters over my house. The oldest daughter brought a book of either wiccan or witchcraft, I can't tell the difference but it gave me the creeps. I have an open mind, but I just got creeped out. Am I overreacting, or should I say something to my brother about this?

You guys get ridiculed on this site constantly and have to be aware by now that nobody takes you seriously when you spout scripture and answer questions with "find jesus" or "talk to a religious person"--you never give a straight answer to hard questions and get it shoved in your faces daily that you appear to lack substance--Doesn't this bother you? Why don't you alter your behavior and either change the way you talk to people or be more selective of which questions you answer? I have seen plenty of Christians on here begging their peers to stop preaching and pushing people away, and everybody answers with "agreed, thanks for the reminder" and then an hour later they are right back to doing what they were before--you wonder why people are so harsh towards you, but you ignore constructive criticism! Do you like the current image that christians are presenting to the world? nobody else does! Are you trying to turn your religion into a joke?

I read this blasphemy the other day...

"A 1991 Gallup survey found that college graduates were less than half as likely to believe in creationism as those lacking a high school diploma. Likewise, those with an income greater than $50,000 per year were half as likely to be creationists as those with an income under $20,000. In 1997 Gallup reported that only 5 percent of scientists believed in creationism"

My sunday school teacher, Mr. Hooper, said that the devil made the people who conducted the poll change the answers to make us Christians look bad.
