None of that is true. Tats and piercings have nothing to do with your relationship with Christ, though I would try to bear only images that would not harm your witness. Music, on the other hand will not send you to hell but you do want to be careful with what you use to fill your mind because those are the things that will manifest themselves in your life. Have you ever heard of Demon Hunter? They are a super hardcore Christian metal band that most people don't even realize are Christian. You do need to realize though that music will NEVER save you the way Christ has. (trust me, I'm a fellow metal head)

Let you answer your some questions. Will you please look at the verses one more time?
The only restrictions placed on Christians are 1 Cor 10:23-24. That is the only restrictions and any other requirement is simply not biblical. This restriction mentions nothing about what music you like, or what tats or piercing you decided to put on your body. [I guess that is something the thumpers missed.]
Heaven is where God is and hell is where he is not. Earth is where you are. You can be with God or not with God. The outcome of that choice, your choice, is something only God can judge. God, not man, judges, so no church can sent anyone where [I guess the thumpers miss that one as well].
Christians believe God’s word as spoken by prophets. You can find God’s word in the bible. The bible is a collection of books that is for believers; it is not a conversion manual. Jesus asked his disciples to teach all nations, not to convert everyone. If you have heard the Christian message, then they have done their job. [I guess the thumpers misread in the Gospel of John how Jesus taught specifically to nonbelievers.]
I believe I have answered you questions/frustrations/statements. What you believe is yours. Because the bible is for believers, you might want to read it. For now, I only ask you to read 1 Cor 10:23-24. I have thumped enough. You know where to find me.

Dude first off hold off on the language your liable to get kicked off.
Second your just in the wrong church. There are plenty of churches that will except you for who you are. Bible thumpers think everyone is going to hell so don't worry. Lamb of God is awsome I just met them last week. They were down to earth great guys. Met them on a USO tour so they can not be that bad. As far as church get the tats. The piercings might have to come out during church its a dress code thing. Don't want the people focusing on the metal on your face rather than the lord. Then put them back in. If you are a good person and do good things thats all you need to do. If anything read the good book for yourself and get inspired rather than turned off. Let the bible thumper thump themselves to death. Find you own path talk to a good priest or rev. If they give you hassle then forget them they do not how to be good sheppards to their flock. I hope you find what you seek.

Somebody needs a hug. There is a certain class of Bible thumpers who are total asswipes. Listening to music and getting tattoos isn't sinful. They probably just think you do drugs and are part of a gang or something, and don't realize that terrible behavior and metal music aren't the same thing. Ignore them totally.
And if they ask, tell them Lamb of God is a type of Christian rock;)

Yeah. Stay metal. F-ck them.
Lamb of God rules. Only thing I don't listen to is Satanic metal but thats a personal choice. Most death metal is just a fantasy anyway.
There are churches where you won't get sh-t on for the music you like.

The Bible is very clear on what a Christian is. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting.: That's it. If you have believed and asked Jesus to come into your heart then you are a Christian. If there are things in your life that are wrong, the Lord himself will convict you of those things and will help you deal with it.

Stay true to yourself while incorporating your new-found saviour into your life. I gave up going to church years ago because of the hypocrites, but I still worship in my own way, and I live a good, decent life. So don't let the jerks of the world keep you away from your goal of being Christian. You just have a twist on it, that's all. It's the movers and the shakers of the world who get things done on Earth, not those icky little followers who profess narrow-mindedness in order to please their own in-the-box view of life. Don't let it get you down. Keep at it. And try to cut down on the swearing. Increasing your vocabulary and substituting strong smart words tells more about your strength than the "f" word anyday. Good luck.

Everyone bashes Catholics too. You may get a couple stares but they wouldn't turn you away for how you look or what kind of music you listen too. It may be boring to someone who is used to a "Christian" service but if you give it a chance you may like it. The mass for me is a time to focus and meditate on my life and relationship with God and leaves me with a peaceful and cleansed feeling when its over. Good Luck with whatever path you choose. Everyone has a place with God and no one has a right to judge you but him.

No the church hasn't sent people to hell, it's the people in the church.
Why the bible thumpers don't leave you alone, may be because God keeps sending them to you.
