as a christian i believe you have a valid point in what you are saying ...quite frankly i am mortified by some of the answers to the questions that are asked .... by some well meaning christians ..the fundamentalists really scare me and in my opinion do more harm to the term christianity than most...
and there are so many diverse sects of christianity... its easy to see some of the confusion.. as far as quoting scripture. what would you have us do? this is where we get our guidance from? The Word of God... im not sure what " hard" questions that you are referring to but id be willing to give you a straight answer if i can........ as christians we do get a bad rap sometimes...and sometimes we deserve what we get.... we make things a lot more complicated than we need to at times ...just thought id let you know we as christians are certainly not perfect... and most of us are struggling with whatever level we are currently at ..so we can get better ...

I don't mind constructive critisizm at all. Even if it's not so "constructive". What kind of faith do you think christians have that a few people on the internet can cause then to turn agains their beliefs and become like what so many have worked so hard to come out of.
My personal journey has been one where I have been served humble pie so many times...I know the flavor well. It isn't a flighty belief that can be blown about by some words on a screen.
I know some christians are more judgemental than others as are non christians.
But the one thing I think will help answer your question, is that many christians have found answers in Christ...in the bible. They truly believe. With every fiber of their being. The questions that kept them from believing have been answered to their satisfaction. Not that this is what makes a believer believe, but that there ARE answers to the hard questions and many christians HAVE had their questions answered and it builds on that faith. It is not a blind faith we have. If you have doubts, concerns or questions about the bible or Jesus or God, I would advise that you continue to ask and ask and ask until they are answered to your satisfaction.
All the "big" questions for me have been answered and I have asked some pretty tough ones of God and held the bible to a really high bar when it comes to my search for truth and it has delivered. There are some questions I have now that haven't been answered, but I like to think of it like...You can doubt a bird can fly and doubt it is possible...but when it does fly, the fact your watching it overhead completely overshadows a doubt it is possible. A silly metaphor is a poor excuse for an answer and I'm sorry I can't come up with better, but well...that's all I got left in my tired brain tonight.
Hope it helps.

I can not speak for everyone or the world, but I however can tell you that I will not adapt to anything that is not set before me by God. He is who I follow and not yahoo or it's members. I am always respectful in my answers not to be pleasing to man but to be pleasing to God.
I will admit I am in no means perfect but, I do give a straight answer even to questions that don't come straight out and say I am only asking you Christians this because I hate you.... I can not base my walk on anyone else what God has for me is indeed for me and what he has for another person is indeed for them.
And yes you are exactly right I agree with you and the valid point you raised about being selective on the questions we answer, and the behavior displayed here, but people can only be who they are.... everyone will not treat others the way they want to be treated this is a fact, we can either respond to every ignorant thing we don't like or we can look at it and look on and religious or not don't allow anyone to steal your joy....

Not all christians have been so for a long period of time and therefore have not all the answers or understanding of the word, but if they are trying to help someone without giving them false information then let them be, for they are doing better than thou. There are some whom are just answering these questions in ill manner responses because they think they are being cute, and their reward shall be as so. In the christian group there are those as in the non-christian group that are ignorant and uneducation to it's word, but perhaps in time they will prevail.

you're actual suited on your evaluation. The St. Nicholas in question change into St. Nicholas Of Myra, an Archbishop contained in the Catholic Church. he's honored fantastically contained in the jap Catholic and jap Orthodox Church's. fairly, he change into under no circumstances formally canonized with the aid of both church. decrease back then, SAINTS were acclaimed with the aid of the persons (a procedure that would want to nonetheless be used at present. Like formally calling Pope John Paul II, John Paul the finished). His image might want to be got here upon on maximum Iconostatis in many Orthodox and jap Catholic church homes. he's the buyer of no longer purely little ones yet sailors, fishermen, merchants, the falsely accused, pawnbrokers, prostitutes, repentant thieves, and many cities. And IJR, even if an Atheist, wouldn't have a good time the iciness solstice. IJR celbrates SATURNALIA. OI, SATURNALIA!!

Faith, belief, and the substance of God is not a fad to change with mood of man and his fashion. Its not my job Hayden to convince you of anything. It is my job to be prepared with an answer and give it when being asked. If you or others do not like the answer that is no ones problem but the person asking. It seems to me the one incapable of adaptation is those who keep asking knowing the answer does not change

You know Hayden, I've read several of your posts and when it comes down to it you would not like ANYTHING a Christian said. We could say the sky is blue and you would find fault with it. You're anti-Christian. Period.
Your "questions" are thinly veiled insults. You're not interested in Christians' opinions, you're interested in bashing us and hate mongering. It's a futile effort -- you haven't convinced me of anything.
God bless you. I will pray for you.
Edit: Right on TTC. You make a very valid point.

But what if they find out they have been deceived this whole time? That their whole life has been based on a lie. That they have been made to feel guilty when enjoying lifes pleasures. What a scary thought, to now have to make your own decisions and not have someone tell you what your thinking. One small step for man, one giant leap for christians.

Its just anybody else, the biggest crackpots always shout the loudest and people figure that they must represent the majority. Its like the crazy homeless person that is shouting on the street corner , he doesn't represent all homeless people, but that's the image that pops into our mind when you hear homeless

Many have adapted..... into Athiests, Agnostics, Wiccans, Pagans, Satanists, Buddists, etc.........
As for the rest many are hopeless, don't waste your time or energy into trying to change thier minds, for they are incapable of change or some even acceptance that their may be other ways.
