I was raised a Catholic, but my specialty was sinning.
I was a liar, a thief, totally selfish, irreverent, arrogant; I became a drinker and a smoker by age 13; sexually abusive by age 14, an habitual user of marijuana, LSD and speed by age 17. By age 18, I felt my life was wasted, so I did what so many do - I blamed God !
(Proverbs 19:3 says "The foolishness of a man subverts his way, and then his heart rages against the Lord!")
I told God, that if He was all-powerful, and My life was in the mess it was in and the world was in the mess it was in, then I didn't want to have anything to do with Him.
I didn't expect much of a response, but I got one -
immediately I lost the ability to laugh - a kind of bleak sense of hopelessness and darkness settled upon me - I began to feel like I was sinking into a bottomless pit - not literally, but in my soul - my inner man. I picked my brain apart looking for a solution - something to pull me out of my downward spiral. I became so depressed I didn't think it could get any worse, but it did - every day got worse. I came home one day, fell on my face and started crying. Then a voice spoke into my heart saying "Maybe Jesus really did die for your sins"
Immediately I felt an incredible change take place within me - I felt I was flooded with light, and love and peace - I started crying for joy - I knew intuitively God had forgiven me - that the Gospel story really was true - that Jesus really was everything I had heard about Him. I understood for the first time that God really loved me and valued my soul, and that He personally undertook to secure my salvation at great personal cost. I have been a changed person ever since. I live a righteous and holy life, loving God and loving His people, and trying to share the Good news of the salvation that I have found in Jesus Christ. God is my all in all. I have found the kingdom of God through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. It was actually about a year after my initial experience that I found what had happened to me described in the Bible - in John's Gospel, Chapter 3, where Jesus speaks of being born again. That is what happened to me - I became a new person by the power of God. I know that the God of the Bible is the true God, because He changed my life, and I love Him - One God - three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I don't try to explain it - I just accept the testimony of God concerning Himself, for this is the God who saved my soul.

God is the supreme being who has given us life and a code to live by through Moses' deliverance of the 10 Commandments and also the Golden Rule. He has also given us free will so as we may choose good or an evil way

The Muslims' God and the Christians God is the same God according to the QuranSurat Al Ankabuut 29:46 says: "Don't argue with the People of the Book (meaning Christians) but in the best way, except the wicked among them, and say: We have faith in the books that have been sent down to us and those which have been sent down to you; Our God and your God is one, and to Him only we surrender."
If you based it upon the original word in the Bible, when we read the word "God", itu was actually "Elohim" in the Hebrew language, and when it is written as LORD, then it is translated from the name YHWH, or "YAHWEH" , the same as He introduced Himself to Moses from the burning bush in the wilderness of Midian when He said: I AM THATI AM, which means, I AM THE EVERLASTING GOD NEVER CHANGE, THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER..
The Chinese ancestors according their history and proven by archaeological discoveries in An Hui, since 4000 years ago, or circa 2100 BC, has been referring to God as Shang Di,meaning the Emperor/King Above, meaning He is the King of Heaven or King of all kings, the Suprema Ruler of Heaven, or as it is written in the plaque inside the Emperor's Chamber in the Heavenly Temple or Tian Tan in Beijing, He is referred to as Huang Tian Shang Di, or Shang Di The Sovereign Ruler of Heaven.
To summarized it, to me personally He is the Creator of the whole universe, All powerful (Omnipotent), All Knowing (Omniscient) and Omnipresent or Present Everywhere, God, who also created me in His image and likeness in the beginning, but because of sin we have come short of His glory, but He has made the provision through His redemptikon that one day in the Earth Made New, and Eden Restored, we will be restored completely to His glory and likeness.

"God" can not be summarized by one's opinion of Him; there is only one definition of who He is: the Lord and Creator of all things. Whether you believe in Him or not, that's what the concept of God IS. Period.
(If you take the capital-G out, a "god" can be anything that is worshipped. But God, with a capital-G, refers specifically to the God of Abraham, acknowledged (in my understanding) by Christianity, Judaism and Islam.)

God is a Supreme Being, All-Knowing, All-Powerful, and most of all, perfect in righteousness. I believe in the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, but I am not into the idea of the Trinity.

the word "god" is used to describe a supreme being. What the word God means to me is love. God is love. I don't mean like "I God you." I mean God is the definition of true pure love after all He CRUSHED His son for me. That's what the word God means to me.
