YES! Here in the Philippines, Christmas is the happiest time of the year. Unofficially, we celebrate Christmas starting Sept 1, where most radio stations plays Christmas songs very early in the morning. We have a lot of Christmas bazaars and parties starting on the first week of December. Early morning mass starts at 4am of December 16 until December 24. The highlight of the occasion is Dec 24 where there is a lot of foreworks and family reunion. In December 25, we go to our relatives and Godparents houses to eat together and gift giving. Celeberation last until Jan 6 of the next year for the celebration of Three Kings.
Every Christmas, I prepare candies, toys for the carollers specially children,. I also donate food ang clothings to poor people and those who were affected by calamities.

No, while my Christmas' growing up weren't non-existant, and horrible, they weren't parties and roses either. My dad had bad holidays growing up, so he only knew how to have bad holidays. So, he subconciously created chaos and fighting every holiday. He felt comfortable in that situation, and he knew how to deal w/ it. He didn't knw how to deal w/ everyone saying "I love you" and "Thank you" and "you're welcome"
That said, I was FAR FAR from spoiled, my parents had little money. My dad worked is butt off after my 2 younger sisters were born. 2 full time jobs most of my life. :( However, having just enough or barely enough money for presents, taught me that Christmas is not about gifts and money, it's about being w/ family and appriciating what you have.
My BF and I do not have a lot of money, and I lost my FT job in Aug. My son will get one big present adn a few little pressents this year. But I make it as enjoyable and happy for him as possible. We go to my Uncle's house every year for his "open house" where my whole extended family is there, we can see how everyone has grown. (another 2nd cousin this year!)
If I were spoiled as a kid, I could never appreciate what I have today. :)

No. The day that people call Christmas, December 25th, is a glorious day to be remembered for its the day that the conception of the Word of God, Jesus Christ took place in the womb of the woman Mary.><>
