This thread should be about finding more about others religion not about arguing! Especially between my religion (christianity), banging Atheists and Muslims, and Atheists banging my religion (and all others). It just doesn't make sense to me. Why do you insist on making this into a battleground rather than a place for spiritual advice. And don't say well they started it because that is really childish!!!

when I die? Do I go to my own personal view of what heaven should be to meet my own personal view of what "God" might be? Or will I be cast into some other religions version of hell despite not even believing in the concept of hell?

ok i keep seeing these questions come up, so many proclaim that god is a god of love and he loves unconditionally, then all these come back and they claim god hates homosexuals. its apparent to me they dont know what god feels. why do christians insist on giving god human emotions? is it right for them to limit god to our understanding of emotions?

Is it right for Christians to direct criticism of them toward God and Jesus?

If I didn't beleive in God, and don't like the way some Christians behave, why would Christians immeidately say that I hate God? How can you hate something if you don't even believe in it? Are christians hiding behind God and Jesus when they say that athiests and others "Hate God?" Isnt' this similar to taking the lord's name in vein?

If you don't want prayer in your child's public school but at home instead are you really Turning your back on God? Or are you turning your back on other human beings that you disagree with?

Why make God and Jesus take all the blame for the bad reputation some of his followers bring upon themselves?

There seem to be a lot of people who think that AIDS is a virus sent by God to kill promiscuous people and gays, and that all other religions are wrong and evil. These people are horrible, and I want to know what can be done to help them.

This is in a way regards to Persephone's "Why are non-believers Hateful?" question earlier. Why are some people so close-minded about certain topics that they make remarks like this? If I asked "why do Christians think Pagans are evil", I'd get hundreds of replies back oh-so-kindly reminding me that not all Christians think that way. If I asked "why are muslims terrorists" I know I'd get all sorts of answers back correcting my thinking.

Basically what I am getting at is, why can't people accept that not all people of different groups think the same way? I'm a Druid and I respect people and their faiths, regardless of the actions or opinions of a few within those faiths. My suggestion, understand and respect the different faiths, doesn't mean you have to join them. As well, people need to learn to not connect the hateful words or actions of a few to an entire group. Anyone else agree?

If anyone wants, hit me up with a private message through my profile.

President John Quincy Adams, was not only famous for his term as President, but also for his opposition to slavery and his defense of the AMISTAD slaves (movie based on this trial). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Quincy_Adams

Adams was a lawyer / intellectual, but unfortunately, he was not politically correct, at least by todays insane standards. You see, he just called-it as he saw-it, like intellectuals used to do before leftist pc domination. Heres what he said, AFTER STUDYING THE SUBJECT:

“…he [Muhammad] declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind…The precept of the Koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God.”
