Saddened that another soul gave into their lust.

We are all human and we all mess up. That's why when we do, we need to run to God, not away from Him.

I pray for Ted and his family. I can't image what they are going through.

Hmm....I must admit I wasn't really familiar with Ted Haggard before all this stuff happened, but I was still saddened when i found out. He was a prominent figure in the American Christian society and it's always difficult to see a leader mess up. But the sad reality is that all people are prone to and susceptible to sin. Why should he be any different? Don't get me wrong, I believe it was appropriate for him to be relieved from office because Someone who is clearly struggling with a problem needs to focus on himself and not be mentoring others. While we all make mistakes, it at time seems excessively unfortunate that those in leadership should also fail, however it seems to be that the added stress and responsibility of those roles are the very things that push otherwise stable people into such sins. So while it's sad, I try not to be overly condemning of him, and I pray that he gets his act together and back on track.

Probably the reaction that the apostles had with Judas.

People in positions of Church authority are only human, and so can fail just like anyone. It doesn't mean the message is wrong.

That problem has existed from almost the beginning of time.

The Bible itself is filled with examples of that.

It is no secret or novel thing when you read the Bible.

The first priest who offered sacrifice to God, had his sacrifice rejected by God, and then killed his brother.

That was Cain.

Just give you a lesson and i hope you understand this. Not all preacher can be save. This is depending who you are. God didn't say "Oh!Welcome to Heaven bec. you are Mormons". "Oh!Welcome to Heaven bec. you are Islam". "Oh!Welcome to Heaven bec. you are Buddhist". etc. Whatever Ted Haggard does not affect of who you are bec. actually Ted cannot save you. It's you can save yourself and no other than that. It's me can save myself and you know already what the right things to do. God gives us knowledge to identify the good and the bad. So, even yourself can judge what things you doing bad what things you doing good. Ha! even yourself can judge by yourself how much more God. We cannot judge Ted that he is going to hell bec. we are not God. This is the same that you fired your co-workers even if you are not authority to fired and you know if the boss know then you are the one abosolutely fired. So, think about it.

As a Christian I was very disappointed. It hurts the entire Christian community when a visible leader is "caught" sinning. There are too many people out there who delight in such an "outing" and it is irresponsible to hand them additional ammunition. The incident however, is not an indictment of Christianity and did nothing to change my beliefs.

The first question that popped into my mind was, "Who is Ted Haggard?" I had never heard of him before. Second thing was, "Here is another child of God who is caught up in a terrible sin." Third thing was, "Father, please help him."

I was saddened for Him and his wife and kids. Also I'm sure his congregation suffered immensly.

The bible says if someone hides a sin they will be brought down.
And that's what happened in Ted's case.
Through repentence and forgivness of God he could be restored and eventually (hopefully)forgiven by his family and congregation.

I wasn't suprised, those evangelist TV preachers are just movie stars like any other movie star playing a part and they make more money than movie stars and are all millionaires and know their adoreing public are going to relate to his temtations and forgive him as they want to be forgiven and he is going to laugh all the way to the bank. He is a multimillionaire who got caught being gay. So they probably all are if they could get by with it.
Why people think that sending money to rich people gets them into heaven they are to dumb to figure out they are just people playng a role for the camera.

It i s very sad,But so was what Jimmy Swaggert did and all the rest. But if they asked God to forgive them and turn from there sin.I will not judge them. That is Gods place to do that.I know i am human and i fail to.I am in no ways condoning the sin.Just saying it is sad but it is forgivable

I had none. Fallible men make mistakes, fallible men sin. Hes a man, not a God.

On the other hand, its men like that that give Christians a bad name, and that bugs me.(not cause he was gay, but because he spoke out against it so vehemently)
