When you die, you rot just like everybody else. Christians also die and rot, but they like to pretend they don't.

First off, there is an objective reality, an objective truth. I think that all available evidence points to Christianity being that truth.
from that, let us reason; if you are a Christian, you have accepted the free gift of God's grace and rely of Christ's work to enter Heaven. If that is the case in your life, then you would go to Heaven.
If you have not accepted the gift of God, then you would have to rely on your own righteousness. Since it is clear that we humans are, by our very nature, sinful and imperfect, then the natural conclusion is that we would not be good enough to enter Heaven. Since Heaven is shut to that we would go to Hell.
What you believe would not be relevent to the reality is. If I believe I can fly, the reality of gravity would catch up with me pretty quick, no matter how devoutly I hold that belief. Same with what happens after death.

Don't get me going on hell, whether it's a place of eternal torture of death. Whatever it might be, yes, you would not be with Christ in heaven. If you forsook your Christianity, you can always come back. But don't confuse Christianity with religion. If you don't like the religion you were born into, there's probably a reason why. Just make sure you are a believer and follower of Jesus Christ in your heart. That's where it counts.

Being "born" into a belief does not mean you hold those beliefs. Simply not believing in something does not cause it to cease to be real. If you are of the elect, the called, the Church, you will be saved. If not, you won't. Simple as that. There is nothing you can do to bring about salvation or cause it to happen, and there is nothing you can do prevent it if you are one of His sheep. When you get right down to it, people are either saved or lost, and either of these states is not of our own doing.

I'm also a Christian by birth and I do believe in God and Jesus. But I do not believe all that crapp that religions try to brainwash us to believe. I for one cannot see a God/Father of LOVE in a God that nails his GOOD SON to the cross, to save THE BAD. Only Satan would do that. I also dont believe that God can not forgive his other children, unless he sacrifieses the good one. I know that God sent Jesus to teach us right from wrong, so that we can follow him and save ourself. But we did not want to change and hence we cruzified him. Jesus knew he would be cruzified if he does not shut up. He could have saved himself by not bothering and keepnig quiet; but he did not. Hence HE SACRIFIESED HIMSELF; NOT GOD sacrifiesed him.
TOM B: Correction: Hell is on earth according to the book of Enoch, who predicted his own return as none other then Jesus. God told Michael to throw the fallen angels into the valley on earth for 70 generation/7000 untill judgement-day. But of course this is not in the bible anymore...WHY????
And here is some more food for thought: If we see pictures of hell, what do we see? Man sleeping around with woman, as many as possible, looking drunk, evil, orgies. Now where is that? RIGHT HERE ON EARTH, and NOW. Spirits have no body they cannot have sex...
Anya: yes you right: all people go to heaven whre they came from, after they have learned their lessons...

I wish I could give you a real answer, but you won't know 'til you get there. ^_^ There might only be a heaven, or there's a heaven and hell. God (or The Creator as I say) could be a man, woman, or just a random being. No one truly knows, you just have to wait it out...

Just because you was raised in a Christian family, that does not make you a Christian. You need to make the decision for yourself. If you chose to not accept the gift of salvation that God has provided for you and eveyone, then you will be sent to hell when you die.

Whatever is your personal view of heaven is I don't know.
Whatever is that religious version of hell you were saying is I don't know.
All I can say is life is what you make it. Whatever you are here on earth you will be judged after death.
You have been a Christian so you know where are your limits are.
May God Bless you!!!

I do not know why people have this fixation about heaven. Live a good and honorable life, and if there is a heaven-no matter your beliefs-you will go there.
That is what my religion teaches--all the good of all faiths go to G-d.

If you left an organized religion to become a agnostic then you have a pretty good chance of getting saved ,religious people are the hardest people to convert to a personnel relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
