I don't want to offend anyone, just an honest answers of your true thoughts on this subject.

A friend of mine last year died on the operating table. He non-religious in every way BTW. He is not the type to lie or make up stories and is not dramatic. But the doctors accidentally nicked his
aorda in a routine galbladder operartion, he is one of two people to ever survive this. He describes leaving his body and having a confortation with a being (God). It lasted only moments but he suddenly had about 3 hours of experience in just seconds. He describes it like being in a dark field and a sudden lighting flash, you could later recal seeing a house, a barn and other building in detail even though it lasted for just a second...you see the details in a flash. He said he suddenly understood why things had to be the way they were and was in agreement with the "being". I was greatly shaken by his account and the things he was told by the "being".

I am very curious what you think & believe?

accept pentocostols (who do not accept the trinity), the Quakers (who dont exclusively follow the Bible and allow homosexuality), or Jehovah's witnesses (who think that Jesus (phub) was not divine and had a spiritual resurrection not a bodily one, and do not believe in the trinity)
Do christians accept these varying beliefs as being christian?
And if so-- then what does it mean to really be christian?
How could the Bible be the exact word of God when it was written by so many differant authors through such a long stretch of time? I know some chirstians think it is the word of God?

Are there fun things to do as a Christian without compromising your values? It seems like the movies and music these days are so full of cussing and ilicit affairs. What can Christians do for fun?

What do you think?

bTo those who responded to my question. I have come to find one person who menifested matureness in her comments. The rest of you were navie and displayed ignornace. Since I am a godly man of the Heavenly Father! "GOD JEHOVAH!" How is it possible for me to sit here and lie in His Holy and Righteous name! My fiancee' has no umbilical cord, because she was born without one! I am a man of spiritual and scientific means, and I knows of the possibles and the impossibles. But when it when in fact it boils down to our Heavenly Father! "GOD JEHOVAH!" Science is ruled out, because all things are possible with Him! How can anyone dispute her medical records? And even when she born a son into the world, was still a virgin. But those who say naive things of some how she received semen indirectly, or from some cloth, by wiping herself. I am not about foolishness, and there events that we cannot comprehend unless we're truly godly people, and not like these nhere false pastors and ministers,etc...

If you believe that energy and matter came from nothingness, doesn't that take a great leap of blind faith? If you ignore the Laws of Thermodynamics, espically the idea of entropy, doesn't that take blind faith? If you would gamble your eternity because you didn't do your homework on the authenticity of the Bible; but still insist that there is no proof for God... doesn't that take a lot of faith (and arrogance)? Just asking...

This week (at this very moment) the Pope will visit Turkey. IT will mark the first time the papacy has visited the mostly Islamic state (even though it is secular) since Pope John Paul II did it in 1978.
The pope visits despite huge protest amongst Muslims who are dissapointed about his visiting amidst his speach last September and also with what's gone on at Haghia Sophia (a former 6th century Christian church turned Mosque after the Muslim turks ransaked Constantinople!)
