The book Ecclesiastes, has a special meaning to me, in this day and age.
It talked about a teacher, lamenting about everything being meaningless, a chasing of the sun.
He tried, without success, to make himself happy, with wealth, slaves, power...but in all he could do, he still would die, just like the poor man.
Then, the revelation, that there is a time and a place for everything.
It puts a lot of things into perspective, if you can't figure out what you're doing here....you're on a journey....get the map.

without the ability to discern.....none of it would be of any value. It would be nothing more than a book of conflict, tale tells, and contradictions. With the ability from the Holy Spirit and the gift of life through Jesus the bible becomes a gateway to knowledge unknown and indiscernible to man.

Really, all of it. I love Psalms and Ecclesiastes. And, the rest of it is a history of the Jewish people and their relationship with G-d. I like having the feeling of being a part of that history, of a better future for all of mankind.
