The US has a Christian population who demand that impoverished, abused / abusive women are forced to have unwanted babies, but when those children grow up in a life of confusion and want, and are convicted of a capital crime, those same "save the babies" Christians are on the front lines screaming for the death penalty.

You have believed a big lie. You have become the problem where you live. There is no crime in Muslim controlled countries, except terrorism, and that is part of their law. Think about it, in Saudi Arabia-if a teen steals something-they cut off their arm--if they are lucky! No trial!
BTW we don't have capital punishment in the USA, we have a capital joke. Murderers can stay on death row for 25 years. Some never see the Axe.
Just look at the crime in France, Holland, England and Germany. Its atrocious. In France alone this past year, over 23,000 policemen were hospitalized due to injuries suffered while confronting crime. So, you think their system works better than ours? You need to wake up.

I am a Christian and believe in Capital punishment. The punishment has to be bigger than the crime. The Bible authorizes it. Obviously my opinion is in the minority, someone just told me that they pray that I shut the f up. Well Buddy, I am glad that I am in America and I have Freedom of Speech and that is what I am fighting for. It is a war not won on the battle field but lost in our minds.
Why do you think that it is declared a Holy War?
It demands a Holy answer. Whether you like what I said or not it is true. Beware. Christians in the USA are the Client nation to GOD and we are being disciplined because we are I.C. SAPS (Idiot Christians Stupid a__People). Wake up America. We are here because of Satan and the Angelic conflict. It is Satan's objective to deter people from the Bible and its word. That is obviously happened based on the answers that I received from my questions.

As a Christian, I am against murder. But war is not the same as murder. David, in the Bible, honored God by killing Goliath in an act of war, not of hate. Murder is hate. The commandment should say "Thou shalt not murder." To say "kill" is a mistranslation, and would most certainly imply that Christians should never eat meat, go to war, exterminate pests, weed their gardens, etc. Murder is an act of hate against a human being.

Punishing someone with death, when not done out of a spirit of hate, revenge, anger, fear, etc. but out of justice and respect for the law is not only acceptable, but sometimes necessary. Unfortunately, there are some individuals who simply will not be restrained from doing evil, nor will they be redeemed. God does not ask society to support these classes of people for the rest of their lives in seclusion, where they can live a life of idleness and ease. To the contrary, the Bible says that those who do not work should not eat.

The Bible supported capital punishment for a reason. One bad apple can spoil the barrel. Allowing hardened criminals to continue in their crimes only strengthens the tide of evil in society as a whole. At least the Bible is clear that one witness was not sufficient to inflict the death penalty--it had to be by the mouth of two or three at a minimum. I would stand by that.

As for a Christian alternative, I think prisons should be labor camps, where the men are also taught an honest trade so that they can work for an honest living once restored to society. And once they have proven themselves capable, they should be released...none of this laziness for life at the taxpayers' expense!

We could just punish people for flippant crimes like littering or vandalism....like in the Philippines! I know they aren't a Democracy...but Hell...let's throw caution to the wind! What does gun control and mental health have to do with anything! You are confusing three different topics!

I am a Christian, and I support capital punishment.
When the soldiers came to arrest Jesus, and Peter drew his sword and cut off a servant's ear, Jesus told him to put away his sword. He also told him "to live by the sword is to die by the sword."

I don't support gun control, because then only the criminals will have guns through black marketeering, and it would create new problems. Also, our constitution gives us right to bear arms.

I think crime will always be with us, because there is the adversary who is in this world.

As a Christian, I pray, and put on my armor of protection.

Crime is a problem that will never go away, as long as the adversary has dominion on this earth.

The be conscious is Justice. that proclaims it involved by me,i will't say plenty approximately Jesus's dying because of the fact it potential no longer something to me. the only factor the Christian having plenty administration of our society has completed properly is capital punishment,i've got confidence in case you chilly bloodedly take a existence you relinquish the splendid to yours. If I ever dedicate a chilly blooded homicide i'd anticipate/settle for a similar. we are able to at last do away with it like many have, and could be saddled with helping those monsters for something of their lives and stressful approximately their rights whilst the took the main hassle-free impressive of humanity faraway from yet another. it particularly is insanity in case you inquire from me,to no longer point out each and all the folk who in all hazard could have been in penal complex for existence who we worried plenty approximately their rights that we at last enable them to out on the streets, for the reason that over 50% of murders in the U. S. are committed by lifetime criminals, think of each and all the harmless lives shall we've saved, yet we've been too worried concerning the rights of the criminal. advert

It should be outlawed. Repub's in this country (most of them) are in support of the Death penalty but against abortion? explain that one to me. And if you call yourself anti-abortion but yet pro capital punishment then you need a serious gut check!

There is no need for any normal american citizen to own a handgun period. I'm a hunter and I have never used a handgun to hunt deer (or any automatic weapon for that matter). Law enforcement is the only group who should have them.

As far as crime deterent goes? Who knows, honestly there is always going to be a small percentage of any population who wish to break laws. Most of them have some sort of mental disorder (whether it's minor or major) and have no means of getting any treatment. Our penal system is so jacked up because of being to scared to govern (lawsuits) that it fails to do the actual job.

So.....that's my answer

...I wish Danielle Susskind would reveal what/where Christian population is demanding that impoverished, abusive women are forced to have unwanted babies – in the US they can get abortion on demand up to the 9th month, and even partial-birth abortion (gag!)
...I am a Christ, and I am for justice. Where is the justice in murdering an unborn baby, the most helpless of all humans, for sake of convenience? I cannot understand why an unborn child that is unwanted should get the death penalty. The death penalty should be given to convicted criminals, i.e., rapists, drug dealers, murderers, pedophiles, and kidnappers – that is, those who commit violent crimes and prey on society.
...To just "lock them up and throw away the key" means that society is saddled with housing and clothing criminals, maybe all their lives – an unjust reward for the crimes they committed. I would also limit appeals.
...Is the death penalty a deterrent to crime? Yes, if used properly and done publicly and swiftly. I never heard of an executed murderer returning to do it again.
...Good example: In the Bahamas, I understand that the jails are pretty well deserted. A convicted rapist is castrated and then executed a week later – that's the reason there is no one in jail.
...Good example: It is safe for a woman to walk the streets of Saudi Arabia. The punishment there is swift, severe, and certain, say for a rapist.
...Bad example: On the other hand, some in California's death row is more likely to die of old age that execution, due to endless appeals. This makes a mockery of justice, and the lawyers richer.
...I am not a member of the NRA, but support gun ownership. Gun control laws usually punish the law-abiding citizens who owns guns. Criminals do not obey gun laws. Gun control looks good on paper (and that a politician signed it), but studies show (and thugs know) where the citizens are armed, the thugs can get shot and even the thugs don't want to get shot. They go to the areas of least resistance. Washington, DC, our nation's capital, has some of the toughest anti-gun laws in the country, and one of the highest murder rates. The 2nd amendment guarantees us the right to bear arms, and for good reason. We have a right to bear arms, and a responsibility to protect ourselves and our loved ones from harm.
...Mental health services, while the intent is good, do not meet the deepest needs of any patient. Without Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can get drugs and weekly meeting with a psychiatrist, which can only help you cope with life. I admit some medical treatment may be necessary in many cases, but the spiritual needs must be addressed – meaning the need to trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Jesus Christ gives new and abundant life to all who trust in Him.
...Good example: The Auca tribe in Ecuador, who for generations murdered many, were won for Christ by Elizabeth Elliot and her friends, and the murder rate when down to zero, without the help of any government program, because Jesus has saved them and changed their lives.
...That's my take, thanks for reading.

The only thing that makes captial punishment so expensive is the appeals process. Prisioner should have no more than 5 years on death row. I would like to see less, but the damn courts take too long.
