Revelation 7:1 "And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree."
And neither does the earth have four winds; it has more.

If they were all written by man, thousands of years ago, why do we believe them? That is like us believing something Steven King wrote. Just because they are supposed to be about people who we like to believe in, there is no evidence of their existence. Seems to me like they are just basic laws that have stories behind them so more people will believe them, if not they go to hell. I could go stay in the desert on top of a rock, disoriented and say that I saw a burning bush or something of that nature, and I'd just be called crazy. So why is it when they talk about it in these writings we believe them? Serious answers please!

this was an answer to a question regarding god or the big bang. How did god create himself if he wasn't extant in the first place to create himself?

(Not to say that I totally accept the big bang theory, either)

2 Chronicles 4:2,"Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about."

Since the molten sea was round with a diameter of ten cubits and a circumference of thirty cubits, we know that the biblical value of pi is 3. (The actual value is approximately 3.14159.)

God Created All... The Bible
The Big Bang Created All... Big Bang Theorists... so
Who Created God?
Who Created the Big Bang?
Please note...
Both the Bible and the Big Bang Theory are unproven scientifically.
Faith and Belief are very different to Evidence.

What is a christians in ur opinion??..what are they beliefs??...i think the problem in this place is that people [non-christians generally] just say that we all believe in hell..or we all believe in ...whatever its...

I'm a christian...i believe that God sent his Son to eath...i dont believe in hell [show me in the bible a place that says that we actually "LIVE" after we die?], i believe that people shouldnt confess to people about sins that commited against God, because they [priest] are only humans, and not better than anybody else, i think you can get to heaven by just having faith in him...i dont pray to the virguin mary, or any statue or none-living thing, i believe that people should be respected, no matter what religion they have, but i love talking to people from different cultures and religions, because sometimes they might seem that they know more than we do...and now is my question...do u still think that we're all the same?...what is a christian in ur opinion?

I guess I'm a lapsed Catholic... because I realize that cursing is a fact of life. It doesn't get me angry or upset. But on more than one occasion, on Answers and in the Real World, I have come across individuals who take a rediculously high moral high road... where they condemn movies and entertainment because they say things like "Goddammit" and "For Christ's Sake".

So my question is this (and I hope some of you who are offended by these situations answer): Is it OK to swear in a movie if you say F***ing Damn it" instead of "God Damn It"?

Basically.... i was raised as a Christian, but now i am confused. my theory... "something inside us makes us alive.- fact (whether it is energy or simply a soul, but we are alive and plastic bottle isnt.) When we die our body gets broken down... our essence of life, as it were, must go somewhere. and if it were our energy it goes into different beings and can never dissapear. Therefore what stops our soul being passed on in some way?" please argue against this from a christian, or even scientific point of view.
