Revelation 7:1 "And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree."
And neither does the earth have four winds; it has more.

Stop picking on Christians.

Did you know that the Quran said the earth is flat and has four corners. The Mountains are begs to hold the earth stable, the stars were created to shot down the demons or devils, earth is the center of the universe not the sun, the sun set in a murky water... and on and on and on......

Why is it you don't question the Muslims and what is written in the Quran, and you just pick on the Christians. Does it have anything to do with your lack of knowledge or you simply prejudice! which one. take your pick. then grow up.

The Bible was written in parables. Now go and learn.

It is all an illusion and is determined by Christ the creative aspect of God. since God is soverine then it is what ever He says it is. You only get to see it at all because He allows you to. I wouldn't worry too much about anything that you are not personally able to have an effect on. the only way can see the whole thing at once is either through a camera on a spacecraft or to join the astronauts. In the meantime deal with the atoms that are within your view this moment. Are they all together in the right place? Is every atom operating in prefection with the other atoms to make up the elements that hold your body together? Is you mind free from fear and doubt? Is love the energy that runs your life? After you figure this our for today, then figure out the Universe and those atoms.
Every day has enough things to deal with in your everyday life to get intellectually kidnapped into thinking that is beyond you preception. Surrender it all and what comes back is what is for you. Sweep the rest under the rug and surrender again and again until you have total piece of mind.

Wow four corners of the earth. That must mean it is square and flat. Or it could mean North, South, East and West, which just happens to go along with the four winds of the earth. The winds are some version of North, South, East, and West.

North South East West The Four POINTs on the compass, or corners if you will.

Did you know that the bible is a relgious document and is not a scientific book? It has remarkable information in it, but perhaps you should take it easy and quite stupidly looking at a 5,000 - 1900 year old book trying to squeeze and pervert every passage.

You're quoting Revelation, a book made mostly of prophetic visions and dreams, to establish scientific facts about the shape of the earth? The "four corners of the earth" is used as a figure of speech, even today. Would you prefer that it gave a specific point on the earth that you could find with a GPS? Give me a break!

Nope,,wrong context again, Ok,,I will shoot this one down again, it, That was a metaphore, The Bible clearly states the shape of the earth very clearly.

Isa 40:22 [It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof [are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

The most important part of interpreting the Bible is context, you can choke the bible all day and find lots of verses that "seem" to contradict each other, but these alleged contradictions break down when the Bible is studied in it's correct context.

People consider the four corners of the earth to mean the farthest points of the earth, as in the north pole, the south pole, and other various points around the equator. Plus, revelation was John's vision of the future, and NOT to be taken literally.

Do some real research, "Irreverend."

4 corners of the earth does not mean 4 literal corners! it means there will be an angel standing in the north, south, east and west regions of the earth. not literally in each corner because we all know by now that the earth is indeed round. i would suggest getting a study bible and that might help guide your bible reading a little bit better. i love my study bible!

Isaiah 40:22 says "the circle of the earth" and the book of Revelation is mostly symbolic.

It is speaking of all ends of the earth- meaning from one end to the other....which there is! And the Bible does say the earth is round- Someone gave a good scripture in Isaiah.
