If you were to go to a church that was in a really modern conference centre with plasma screens, lively upbeat music and friendly, happy people who are genuinely pleased to meet you in a really positive atmosphere, would this be different to what you first thought of?

Bible Quizzing is a UPCI (Pentecostal, not Presbertyrian) ministry for youth. What you do is you learn verses, this year for the intermediate seniors it is 421, and then you go to tournaments once a month starting in January and quiz on them. I would like some good tips. I would like tips on how to memorize and locate especially. :) Thanks!

I LOVE SENIOR BIBLE QUIZZING!!!

There would have been no plants after the ground had been submerged for nearly a year. What would the carnivores have eaten? Whatever prey they ate would have gone extinct. And how did the New World primates or the Australian marsupials find their way back after the flood subsided?

Noah sends a dove out to see if there was any dry land. But the dove returns without finding any. Then, just seven days later, the dove goes out again and returns with an olive leaf. But how could an olive tree survive the flood? And even if it did, how did an olive tree thrive on top of a mountain which has no plant life?

Do these small discrepencies show that the Bible was written by man rather than any deity?

I am particularly thankful for a past participant, bobkgin, who brought much wisdom and light with his thoughtful questions. I wish he could be persuaded to return. Does anyone have the means of convincing him of how valuable his work here was (is)?

Muslims have so much faith in their god, that they are willing to kill themselves (and a bunch of us) to get closer to him and go to paradise.
So if heaven is such a wonderful place, and Xians really just want to spend eternity singing god's praises, why don't you have the faith to join him now?

The Genesis 1 creation account conflicts with the order of events that are known to science. In Genesis, the earth is created before light and stars, birds and whales before reptiles and insects, and flowering plants before any animals. The true order of events was just the opposite.
