When those loving messages are messages of inclusiveness, some people see that as taking away from the "specialness" of their group, and by extension, themselves.
In other words, for some folks, they cannot be right unless there are others who are wrong.
The idea that we all may have a piece of the truth is threatening to their sense of superiority.
But what do I know?
I don't HAVE that mindset, so I'm really not able to understand it.

you know it is a bit of a paradox when these people despise answers that speak of love, and probably view this as weakness, and yet I presume that they have loving families and would not use the same yardstick at home.
surely even the thumb-downers need a little love too, but more than this it appears that as there is a lot of anger and resentment in them they have to be hurting inside and if so who is really responsible for this, I cannot believe that all this is driven only by anti-Christian resentment, but possibly because they prefer to stand by the sea and are afraid to paddle.

The R & S section brings out either the best or the worst of people. We are always most vehement about the things we feel most deeply about, or are most afraid of. Unfortunately, some have no clue as to how give and take, intelligent conversation works, and so they hurry to out-talk, out-argue or out-shout any idea or arguement that is in any way different from their own. It's the mark of a small and frightened mind.

Because messages of peace, love, compassion for humanity scare those who are miserable, lonely, and would rather destroy than nuture or support. It's easier to be negative and critical and harder to be positive and uplifting. Some post u consider what they are saying acknowledge their pain and move on. Wheither you say a prayer or it makes you more determine to be kinder... the ultimate choice is you. You decide to allow it to eat you up or just extend yourself and be kinder.

Because hatred causes a reaction, whereas love and compassion creates peace, which people always ask for but dont really strive for - go figure that one. just think, if we actually veered more towards compassion and love where we would be today.

I believe this is because alot of the questions asked in this section evoke very powerful responses from people. And to an uniformed mind it is easier to threaten something you dont agree with or cant understand then it is to try to accept that view point and try to see it from that perspective.

That's simple! Anytime someone takes a firm stand for the truth, all the demonic spirits of lying and hate are stirred up to mock and they simply are puppets on satan's strings to be hatemongers who despise the truth because it reveals their evil deeds which they love more than God.

Misery loves company? Therefore misery gives approval ratings when someone sings its songs?

I don't know.
It makes me sad when I think about it.
Why can we not all just get along and be friends?
