Have you seen him lately in His resurected body. It is the most beautiful and perfect creation that the Christ has ever created. And guess what? you have one waiting for you too when you shed this old vehicle that you are traveling in now. That is if you care to find the truth in time.
Love and peace from the source of it all.

As racist as that sounds...

Anyway, his modern depiction was a way for the church to show a body that was the opposite of physical strength and thus would convey wisdom. It changed in the middle ages and now people think that is what he looked like. His actual physical appearance was much different by all historical accounts.
Kind of makes me laugh when people have visions of him and the Virgin Mary, as well as the image on the Shroud of Turin. That is just a relatively modern depiction, which has changed over time.

While it is irrelivent what He looked like(all that matters is He is the one and only Son of the most High God) it is true that He was jewish so more then likely He did not appear as a person of germanic desent, but the artist of the past attempted to have Jesus be more personal so they made Him look more like them.

Because it does not matter what he looked like, we need to follow his teachings. He came for the salvation of ALL people. The actual color of his skin is of no importance what so ever.

Peace!
